Reading OPC. What can I say? Beware!
Just popped in to their "used car weekend" for a cup of tea and a quick butchers at the cars, and the b*****s sold me a Carrera!
Just got to work out how to pay for it, now...

Know how you feel. Same thing happened to me when I went for a browse in Sheffield, but managed to get a grand off the price, so felt I was ahead. Car's OK though and you've got to drive something havent you. Enjoy!

Ditto the 1K off. Got above book on the trade in as well so it ended up a bit more sensible than the sticker price - if spending this sort of dosh on a car is ever sensible.

2003 Boxster S. Had a 996 before that (hence nickname!). And don't worry, Colin - of course it's a manual!

Hurray! Another stick-shifter hits the tarmac, and another angel gets its wings. I've heard it said that God cries when a Tiptronic gets road-registered, which is probably why it rains so much in the UK.

The Captain is snared again, mid-vexation, by his malevolent nemesis the evil Dr. los angeles. If we could animate this, I'd split the movie rights with you.

I know....I know. I was somehow really, really late to find this site, and had a lot to get off my chest. Just ordered a Lotus, so had a lot of questions for the good guys in the Lotus Forum. Then had to make my way to the Porsche forum and work a lot of toxins out of my system regarding the Tiptronic gearbox. I'm also rebuilding my Z3M Coupe at the moment (and have many blisters on my little pinkies to show for it), so had a little jaunt to the BMW forum for some advice.

All in all I'm feeling much better now, and my posting is settling down to a more sedate pace. But hey - thanks for noticing. I may yet decide to go for the Tom Grisham Award (the one they give "To the writer best able to capture Tom's ability to commit crap to print faster than he can think it up".
