Yes - manual.
Went for telephone as it seemed to work well in my friends and thought about time I could stop always having to remember to bring a mobile.

you should be concentrating on the driving sensation, not drivelling on to your mates about how cool you look in your new toy....

Great choice - it's a great car and you'll love it!!

Great spec (v. similar to mine..!). Only thing I would've changed is the colour. I don't think Cobalt Blue looks best on the 997. Darker exterior colours seems to suit it better and contrast really nicely with the back lights. I went for Lapis Blue and nearly got the Midnight Blue.... Highly personal choice but at least you didn't go for silver like everybody else..!!

SportDesign wheels look the best but be warned... they're a b*tch to keep clean..!!

Actually up in Muswell Hill we can afford both...I use the beemer for town driving and the porker for drifting ....

To muswellhillmafia -a) I dont drivel and b) I doubt I will make more than a couple of calls a month !and c) absolutely agree about the driving sensation.
To X15 - I just wanted a lighter blue to midnight or lapis - i did deliberate long and hard about Cobalt -seeing one at the OPC decided it for me- I totally take your point on the wheels though.

Whatever colour you'll love it. Welcome to the 997 club. Just curious, what's the current waiting time for a new 997?

Muswell - as you seem to be so outspoken this afternoon - 'SHORT SHIFTER' refers to manual - surely you know this as a true driver/drifter......

Great Spec!

I agree about the colour, but that's purely personal choice, and I'm sure you looked at all the options before making your decision.

Just out of interest, did you consider the 4S ?

Sounds like a lovely car and since you have gone for so many 'Sport' options, I would have also considered the -20mm sports suspension to top it off.

Sidikicks, he wants a sports car not a Land Rover, hence why he opted for a 2S

If I had bought a new 911 (I was seriously thinking about it, but went with a 2 year old in the end) then one of the first things on my list would have been the tyre pressure monitoring system. On a performance car without a spare I would say that this should be standard kit... If you are speccing coloured center caps, the telephone and Bose I think that any argument not to is going to be a bit weak.

Other than that, I would think twice before opting for a blue interior with Cobalt - it really doesn't work for me as a combination, but if that is what floats your boat... [FWIW, I would go with predictable black or a contrast such as a tan colour].

Just my opinion, to which I am sure I am welcome

Thanks
