Folks,

Can you let me know which model you have and what kind of mpg you get from it (1) poottleing about, and (2) during 'spirited' driving.

Trying to justify a purchase you see......

Thanks

~20 either pootling (either slow, stop-start or 'pressing on'). No idea about track. Motorway cruise is ~33. Mine is a toy though, a standard C2/C4 will almost certainly do better.

Had a 3.6 996 (C2, 6-spd, Coupe of course) for a couple of years, purely for road use, and set the computer when I got it, averaging 26.2 mpg during my tenure.

996 C2 Cab Tip
Motorway & mixed in fact 200 miles from Maidstone to Worksop. 29-98mpg

Local Driving. 24mpg

But I also get over 12k miles out of rear tyres so driving style is not overly agressive.

Model yr. '84.Blond/Tan. Just pootling - as much as her credit card will take. Spirited use - twice as much as mine will take.
996? Just buy it - life's too short to worry about mpg - the difference between say 20 & 26mpg is going to be a few hundred a year anyway compared with capital outlay, dep, int. etc.

My previous 996 C2 was a bit more economical.
