I have my name down for a GT3 RS to be delivered in March - I am thinking of orange but thought this looked interesting:

They'll never find you when you go through the hedge... orange is better for the spotter planes. I thought I'd like the viper green, but the orange is - to my mind - better.

Ive seen it in the flesh
I was there that day ( Manthay race training last thursday )
Walter said he prefers the green
It looks stunning in the flesh - also it had no roll cage in

I definately prefer the get in your face colours, atleast that way people will know who past them on the track.

timmo how did the RS sound and how did it handle in Walters hands?

He took one of our friends round who races in the VLN series
who said that he was the best driver he had been with
Walter said the RS is better than the normal GT3
I spooted the car 1st and the whole of the restaurant legged it out to see the Green
Meanie - we asked Walter to take us round and we had a number raffle
I also got Walter to sign the underneath of my carbon bonnet
he was such a nice man and very easy to talk to - the car also sounded a lot more "meaty"
than the 996 RS

I'm glad to hear the RS is better the the standard GT3, on paper it does not look like much but I suspect it is set up for more capable drivers and the differences will be more tangible behind the wheel.
Sounds like a hell of an experience being driven by Walter - shame he does not come over to the UK for any of the UK launches.

WR saying the GT3RS is 'better' than the GT3 doesn't exactly sound like over enthusiastc praise to me..........I should hope it b***dy is!

I'm just saying that on paper it does not look that much better but I expect the difference will be more marked behind the wheel.
Also I think it looks fantastic.

Sorry - wasn't having a pop at you - and I know what you mean. Just meant as a general comment. Didn't sound as if WR was hoping from foot to foot with excitement that was all, whereas he seemed to be re.the GT3 a while ago.

Does Walter Rohrl have the best job in the world or what? His fashion sense, however, is clearly teutonic !!

My father has a lovely 73' 911 in viper green which was the color for that year’s production. Neither of us was keen on the color at first but he bought the car because of the condition. Over time it has grown on us, and I now cannot think of a better color for a 911, especially when combined with black details, i.e. wheels and graphics.

Great to see more pictures in green - I'm not saying I'd order one in green but I'm glad to see car colour actually mean colour.
I like the pictures of the signed carbon bonnet - very cool.

Yeah of course, don't have access to pics tonight but stay tuned, and I'll see what I can rustle up.
