Do we have any GT2 owners on here at all? Have you managed to tame the beast?

I've got a 996 GT2 Clubsport.

Have done 6000 miles in the past 6 months.

I'm glad the dry roads are back, it's been a white-knuckle ride the past few months.

I'm sure you have a great laugh with it, although have you ever had any 'moments' in it and thought; "wish I bought the turbo"? Or do the thrills outweigh all else? All the guys on here with 4x4 turbo's absolutely swear by them btw.

Hey Mel - how are you mate?? You're right the GT2 at Maranellos looks fantastic....
Funny thing how the super-porker should be the fastest car for sale at a Ferrari dealer....

It's probably the fastest thing for sale at any dealer right now.

Cue Manu strolling across the road walking upto the manager of Maranellos and congratulating him on finally dealing in performance cars whilst nodding at the porker.

Another strength of the TT/GT2 is just how much power you can extract from it - it's actually not particularly expensive or difficult to get it to near-McLaren/Enzo levels of performance.... Some of the guys on rennlist have 680hp GT2s......

Edited to say.... I have no comment on Daz' comment....

I have read in a local mag they built not long ago something called GTR EVO 750 with 750 bhp (850 ?) based on the current GT2.
The engine cannot run without some special engine additive called mecacyl.

The ultimate ring weapons with the lowest lap times tend to be of the rwd variety don't they. By all accounts the standard GT2 is a bit of a handful, so what must these 600 / 750bhp devil's be like? Best left to racing drivers!

Just had an e-mail from one of my clients that entered his GT-2 into the Gumball Rally. He was trying to hit 210 MPH but only got to 206MPH!!!

Seriously fast bit of kit.

The great thing with those GT2'S is a better exhaust makes over 500bhp. In the eye's of porsche warranty and insurance thieves it's still unmodified.
