cargraphic system for tt
Discussion
Hi, I had a Cargraphic exhaust on my 996 TT and I was very pleased with it. From memory mine came from Stuttgart Connection.
Difficult to judge any performance gain, although as you say it was meant to be approximately 20-25bhp.
It certainly made a much nicer noise than the standard cans. Very little difference at tick over but sounded great under load.
I'd recommend it.

Domster..... 996 TT owners form a nice orderly queue here, that word FREE is going to be popular, do they want some one with experience of another system to compare with theirs...he says hopefully !!!
Going back to the original question,I have the Cargraphic "medium" system, it does spool the turbo's up quicker & subjectively seems to add a little extra grunt. On tick over it sounds more "grumbly/growly" (adding a meaner streak)& at full chat it sounds simply BLOODY FANTASTIC outside & a lot better inside. BUT it isn't that much louder inside & has a horrible booming resonance at around 2k revs which in honesty you have to drive around. This is also present in the standard car, but it's much louder with the Cargraphic.
I got my system second hand so I am happy to accept a little resonance at the price I paid, but I wouldn't be happy paying nearly £3k if it still has resonance. Cargraphic have a good name, so check this with Stuttgart I have used them in the past & found them very helpful, they do three systems, quiet, medium, loud..best of luck.

does anyone have a cargraphic system on there 996 tt? thinking about ordering one. comes in at £2678 but does add 21bhp! any views on this?
I've got a Cargraphic system (apparently). It was already fitted when I brought the car. So I can't say anything too interesting. It's been through at least one MOT though. And! Assuming at least one standard 996TT turns up to the Rolling Road day on May 15th. We'll find out if it produces any more power. I would guess not though, surely more power would require a re-map or something. It might even cost power on a standard car (Discuss?).
Steve, 996TT
P.S. Thierry I notice from my list you're not signed up to the rolling road day, e-mail me for details.
Guys, my invisible post earlier on mentions why you can see gains with these exhausts...The silencer boxes make a different sound..The systems have 100 cell cats which have a less restrictive flow rate which leads to an increase in power. Note these 100 cell jobbies do not have the lifespan of standard equipment cats and can lead to mot failures on emission tests.
Porsche sports exhausts do not claim any increase in power and retain the standard cats.

Hi guys. Spoke to tech (Andy Fearns, now running Porsche dept. at AmD) and he confirmed that it was Miltek, they were still keen on a car, and they do already do a system for the 996tt! It may be a new, quieter one or something.
Anyway, he said interested parties could give him a call on 07730 989895.
