just run it ! the UK don't get that cold and we have some great blue sky summer days after OCT to April.
All my cars are taxed all year round.
I agree, but timing is such that if I'm going to put in temp storage, it may as well be in the winter, plus will only be Nov-Feb.All my cars are taxed all year round.
Sometimes my car gets very little use between November - March! This is because over this period due to weather ,lack of time, holidays and not using for work. What I do is give it a good clean , drive 10-20 miles to dry brakes etc then cover up in garage with a cheap car cover( I have a tybond one that cost £50 and covers whole car). But on the odd nice dry , salt free day over that period I do takeout for a long drive circa 40 miles plus just to keep battery charged and oils moving around , I never have had to use a battery conditioner and have left cars for over 8 weeks with no problems! Although I may put on sorn for January and february as this period gets little use if any!

To bring this thread back to life, anyone else as sad as me putting their baby into storage for the winter when the time comes? Same question applies for those garaging their car too, I just don't have the space for it at home.
You've only just got the bloody thing any you're already putting it in storage!?! So sad. We've had to re-insure our GT4 as we've exceeded the annual mileage limit on the policy. Only way to be able to keep using it is to take a out a new policy.
Worth it.

A shame indeed, but when your missus has MS and has just had a huge relapse that means she's lost all feeling in her legs, and we have a 2 year old son to look after, time and priorities change.jackwood said:

Keeping the mileage off the 996 '3 so it goes stratospheric in value you mean :wink:We've had to re-insure our GT4 as we've exceeded the annual mileage limit on the policy. Only way to be able to keep using it is to take a out a new policy.
