I appreciate this has been gone over in the past but can anyone tell me if its possible to tuck the racing harness out of sight with LWB's when using the normal seat belt?

May be late to the party, but there was a GT4 Club Sport parked at Guildford OPC yesterday lunchtime. White, looked fantastic
I believe they are all white.

Yes I believe you can at the back of the chair and the seat cusion is velcro and will left out so you can tuck the buckle out of the way too I think.
Not too sure what one would do with the 2 side belts through?

Yeah, just thinking I should probably tell OPC not to bother installing harness as I am not really going to use it as I don't plan to track any time soon. If I could tuck away out of sight completely then that would be best but I'll probably just not bother with harness at all just now. Thanks

it's quite a long job, so I doubt they would fit for free after.

Why did people order CS pack to never use it ? was an expensive option and a heavy one.

Nobody is planning to never use it, its just a hassle doing up the belts each time you just want to pop to the shops etc

"Yeah, just thinking I should probably tell OPC not to bother installing harness as I am not really going to use it as I don't plan to track any time soon"

lol CS has a lot of resale hype it seems :-p

I know I am saying what I am thinking out loud and it gets me in trouble and upsets 60% of posters lol , but you cannot make it up can you ?

seems a common post "this car will never see a track" and for resale all these CS spec cars stating "NO track use" 12 months down the line.

cages are heavy noisy things, cannot see why people spent £2.8k on a heavy cage if the cars not a track hack.

You seem to make it up! Why are you being such a d!ck, you quoted someone who said they wouldn't be tracking it any time soon, at what point did they say "never"?!?!

As Mdianuk says, I'm not saying I will never track the car, just not in the next 6 months. It is something I would be looking at down the line though. However, whether I track or not had no bearing on choosing CS pack or not. I chose it purely for aesthetics. You may be right in that it will be noisy in the car but as I've never had any cage in a car, this is something I will find out for myself. As for thinking about resale value on specific options....I've been following the arguing in here for the last year and as a result of this have no idea what specific options will add value or not!! I spec'd the car for what I want and have no intention of selling until my OPC can get me into something better, whatever that may be. I'm sure many would say my options list will be very conflicting (Track or road) but as I say, I went for what I wanted and as money was not a big factor when choosing most options. I did miss out on extended leather due to my spec locking sooner than expected but then that would have been conflicting with CS pack, some might say! Main thing is I'm delighted with what I went for and 3 weeks to go! Thanks for your input guys!

My car is finally built, OPC has given me a "target" delivery date of March 17. They said they will be in touch next week to try and give me a "firm" delivery date.

Feels like they are wanting to keep me hanging for as long as possible. LOI went in November before last, now it's only a couple of weeks away and they still can't commit to a delivery date.

I don't think that is unreasonable tbh, the OPC's tend to find out the car is due when it turns up, or arrives off the ship in the UK. There are too many variables with the boats over, weather, full load etc. 2-3 weeks from final build is about right.

I guess. Just getting a bit impatient.

Stark contrast to a daily I leased recently. It was delivered to my office eight days after I ordered it, all I picked was the colour from a choice of black or white, no agonising over the spec.

I don't even know if VW Tiguan forum threads exist, if they do I bet they are terribly dull, just like the car.

I wholeheartedly agree, clubsport is not worth £3000 and harnesses are a pain in the crotch imho;

Personal abuse again from my opinion thinking out loud :-( cannot have a debate here at all without abuse these days.

I agree. Seems odd to spec it if you are not going to use it very often but then again, roll cages look cool biggrin

Cages look better in 911s given the open space in the back. The GT4 cage is a bit lame looking smile
Plus I'd prefer to paint it a lighter colour but it seems to be quite a faff getting it out.

Then don't, it was great when you weren't here! And it wasn't an opinion, you deliberately skewed someone's post to have a go at them for choosing the cage and not tracking it.

I love the sense of occasion of a cage and harnesses even when pooling around.

This for me too, won't track that often at all and will be a general use car at weekends but wanted the cage and harnesses too. Each to their own, could say anyone who intends to drive fast should have no options at all as they all add weight..
