Isn't steering feel highly personal thing ? I want steering that provides important information, not a system that tells me I've driven over a grain of sugar and can become a battle on some roads ,making you sweat at it writhes in your hands ? Others want that ,so what is right ? The car manufacturer has to appease many different tastes.Weighting and speed are also important,i don't like Ferrari steering ,it's too light and so quick it makes the car feel edgy ,others love it.
I think it best judgement is left until the car is driven.

I just wanted you to know what I bought next after the GT3 :-) as it was NOT the R
had nothing to do with feel, I did not like the M3 either kept it 2 months.
it was a forward step in owner ship time line that's all.
I have 2 weeks off and all people did was talk about me lol was funny to see, not posting now till some real GT4 info comes out.
which I doubt anything will leak now till 4th Feb bar maybe some new pics.
Not quite sure who talked about you or in what context, i doubt many people had noticed youd gone though the GT3 threads remained a happy and peaceful place.had nothing to do with feel, I did not like the M3 either kept it 2 months.

You still havent answered;
1. What is feel to you?
2. What dates are available for the test drives?
Though as a man in the know/inside sources, dont you know everything there is to do with the GT4? Will the first thing you look at be the suspension hardness or the gearing ratios? titter titter

Unfortunately because of the inertia within the electric motors used in the current EPAS we are not talking about grains of sand and but more like cats eyes. Hopefully the motor tech will improve but until then we are stuck with steering that feels like a hydraulic system with too much friction and completely damps out any feeling. I wish Porsche would take a risk and go hydraulic like MB have with the AMG GT against the current trend.I think it best judgement is left until the car is driven.

'Cayman gets hotter
Ahead of the mid-term refresh and the arrival of flat-four turbo engines, we’re going to see a hotter GT4 version of the Cayman. This has been developed by Andreas Preuinger’s team and is therefore a proper ‘GT’ car in Porsche’s brand hierarchy, with Hatz assuring us that it’s “moved a little bit up from the Cayman R, it will be more sporting.” Spy shots have confirmed the car is carrying some serious aero – and Hatz confirms it will be the fastest Cayman or Boxster yet, with an engine delivering around 400hp. Oh, and will also spin off a racing variant…'
Looks like a 3.6L 400HP motor then. Interesting if its a bespoke engine created by team Andreas, maybe it will have some titanium parts.

At last a calm voice of reason. I'm loved the steering feel on my 991GT3 way better than my 997GT3 or GTS which were wriggly twitchy things that felt like something was a bit undone! I must be missing the point somewhere. Mind you we have the roughest roads in the UK and no speed limits in the Isle of Man so my driving experiences might be a bit different than most!I think it best judgement is left until the car is driven.
The 991GT3 was sublime on extremely fast rough surfaces, without doubt the fastest most secure car I have ever experienced.
Hope the GT4 is as good. starting to get excited now by the "real Motorsport car" bit.

Who says it's more limited? No dealer has been given either allocation.
Numbers were out even in 2014, numbers are old news. Like the engine size the numbers to come at this point is an unknown and maybe some are just baseing the numbers on the spyder/R which were not built as a limited edition.so I think it's fair to say anyone interested in said cars will most likely get one which for the record I was told back in October when the "numbers were out there "?

A bit like the engine size! Back in October 14 you was sure it was a 3.6 then it's going to be a 3.8 now we are back to 3.6 or maybe a 3.4.

we all think it's the 3.8 but yes that is from rumors/ or people who know people, the numbers dealers have had for months, that is on Print to see.Like the engine size the numbers to come at this point is an unknown and maybe some are just baseing the numbers on the spyder/R which were not built as a limited edition.so I think it's fair to say anyone interested in said cars will most likely get one which for the record I was told back in October when the "numbers were out there "?
the reason the engine changes is Porsche have been testing loads of cars with all engines so that gets leaked to people in the know
but Porsche are testing cars 5 years in front of realise. So yes there are cars with 3.6, 3.4, 3.8 2l turbo out on the ring.
it's not hard to grasp is it ?
hence why I said I am not posting till 4th Feb, it seems pointless, but I cannot help it lol.
Many people have seen the numbers in print for both cars inc me. no one has seen the spec sheet of either car or will say they have.
very very little info has been rumoured about the Spyder bar it has a better roof the release date and of course the UK numbers.
The Spyder interest seems very small for the new car vs the interest in the Gt4.
No point as you say getting upset when the date is 4th Feb (18 days away) on the GT4, and many are hoping for a full spec on that date, not just an announcement that the car is real.
