H , Brumos livery is like my sticker Nirvana - should be on every road car as far as I’m concerned - obviously placed by myself at a jaunty angle
Indeed Rich, there should be plenty of scope for making a complete hash of it Slippydiff said:

Isn’t this thread great - such a nice foil to the spec / values talk that dominate PH

That last one is just fantastic....defines the term “stance”. How about this for the polar opposite ? Built by a company called Wokshop 5001 in LA....started by ex Singer people. Too Plane Jane for me but it’s kinda cool.
Jethro Bovingdon behind the wheel...he absolutely loves it! There’s also a Jay Leno vid in which they talk more about the car.

.....Over the years I've been asked "what is the greenest car in the world? Prius? Tesla?" I would tell them there is only one answer. A Porsche 911. No one ever throws one away. No one ever throws a part away, not even a broken part. It's far "greener" to drive your 12 year old 996 than to junk your 7 year old Tesla for a new one. The cost to the environment (and your wallet) of manufacturing and then re-manufacturing any product with a shorter life cycle is far more detrimental to the environment than a more sustainable product. But this is not the way it's going. Think of the battery degradation in your phone over two years. Last August I decided late on a Saturday to drive my 25 year old 964 Speedster across the US for a PCNA Cocktail party the following Thursday in Pebble Beach, California.. No special prep. 1/2 qt. of oil, check the tires, RainX on the wind screen and I'm ready. Early Monday I'm in the car in West Palm Beach and I'm at the party on Thursday. Two 1350 mile days. 137 mph as indicated on my radar detector. To me, this is green. Think of the true environmental cost of all the cars I didn't need to buy over 25 years. I hope that my 981 Spyder is still going strong and is serviceable in 25 years. I suggest that we consider that Quality = Sustainability = Green.....

Don’t think this vid really applies to this thread but anyone drooling over these cars will I feel be sure to enjoy it. Not really a fan of Mr JWW but this is a brilliant video. Guy Berryman of Coldplay has a pretty incredible car collection, incredibly eclectic and bar the one relatively modern car just screams the bloke is a genuine car enthusiast that happens to be able to enjoy his passion. Features three old Porsche’s, two of which I doubt anyone would guess. The one thing that is relevant is that one of his Porsche’s was entrusted to Tuthill for a restoration keeping the car totally original.

Thanks H - I’ll take the third image down as this one has the best sticker arrangement by some margin - that grey cars absolutely rubbish , it hasn’t got any stickers at all - what were they thinking ? !
My understanding is, they’d heard about a bloke on an internet ? that plasters stickers all over his cars and derives great pleasure from doing so. They heard he was intent on building an ST replica, so they build one for him, but left it a blank canvas for him to work his magic on Clearly a thoughtful crowd.

At bit about the st i was custodian for,ex factory car,one of 4 that had the double inner wing for strengthening for rallying,a true thin gauge lwt steel body with factory plastic front wings, balsa wood plastic bonnet, thin steel roof ,alu rear lid, thin gauge doors, etc etc.
The car was supplied with out a engine fitted, but three engines,2.0ltr,a 2.3 and a 2.5,which would fit into most rally groups. It finished 11th &17th overall in the targa florio in 1972 and 73 plus class winner,i miss the old girl now although the rsr is a st on steriods!
