Well after some final Cad work the chucks of 6061 are on there way for the bellhousing and the rear suspension.
Here's how it will look..
Still have some other smaller brackets to design. The shock mounts where going to bolt to the gearbox but I didn't like all the load just going into the box when that large 2" thick plate is just in front. So I've moved the shocks forward and will make a billet mount that shares the load between the plate and the gearbox.

I bought MeshCam, its a simple Cam program so I have to spend time compiling all the stages then edit them together, but at $250 Meshcam is way cheaper than the alternatives.....
Oh Yes MDF run though first, Glued some 1" thick boards together yesterday for the uprights and the large Plate... The Plate was $510 so not risking screwing that up

I have been in awe at your skills on this, I love the tech drawings, the pics and the detail and without wanting to be rude or cause offence, where in gods name does the cash come from for all this ! as well as the time.
I spend a couple of hours a night on my project and generally a day at weekends and im only rebuilding a car ! You manage to find time to update this post, make vidoes, get the work done, solve any problems en-route, and remain sane !
So I have convinced my self that you don't sleep, you have won the lottery or you patented the iPhone or similar
Either way thanks for sharing the great insight into your world, it is truly inspiring to see this level of skill.

I only work 4 days from every 8 so get to spend most of those days in the shop. My wife works so when she's at work I can spend all day in there :-) Now it has been known for me to spend 12-14 hours in there a day when I'm Machining, and I have a lot of Machining to do now so no TV for me for a while.... PS thanks for the kind words bud..
I'm going on a Driving holiday of the USA soon, and it was about time to upgrade my daily driver. Buying a newer car and trying to sell 2 other cars i had has turned into a nightmare..... It's done now but I've had to repair my truck service my WRX before sale and do some work on a Cobalt I had... short story the last month I've not had much time to dedicate to this project, so not much progress
The Cad work for all the billet parts takes some time to do but is almost done. The bellhousing is the last part to finish in cad, just waiting for the starter motor to come, and I'll be ordering the flywheel clutch unit to arrive when I get back from my hols.
Weight of the billet now.... no idea but very heavy, cost of all the Billet parts in that pic close to $2000. How its going to look once done Priceless.........
So question what colour to Anodize all these lovely billet parts once done ?
Gold ?
Blue ?
Red ?
Black ?
Answers on a post card to BBC Blue Peter.....
