I have sent a PM to those of you who have posted up intending to run your car.
Mark - please can you pass the message on to the other owners who you added to the list.
Done as requested!Mark - please can you pass the message on to the other owners who you added to the list.
Also to add Adam S for when you do the spectators. He's a Porsche passenger and is not permitted to bring his TVR Griffith 500, becuase it would either breakdown en-route or make all of our Porsches look "girly"!

If you want to join in please can you also PM me your email address and car reg so I can revise the running order and contact you directly for further instructions nearer the day.
We have just about maxed out a half day now.
Lunch is being booked at a local pub for about 1.30 so any subsequent runners who want to lunch will have to join us immediately after their run.
I am sure Charlie will keep taking the cars all day long but as mentioned anyone signing up now will be on from circa 2pm.

I don't know why that would be a problem if the RR can handle GTRs in various states of tune and all their electronic gizmos.
Oldbob - are you intending to run your car?
edc, thx for the thoughts, I was only concerned with any warnings being thrown that weren't transient - ie needed a dealer trip to clear.Oldbob - are you intending to run your car?

TheBob (my lad) and a I (OldBob) are booked in at SurreyRR this Sat am for a Cay R (his car with mods) vs a .2 CayS pdk (wifee car) comparison to get a relative measure of the difference or not of his mods.
We'll post results.

any results in yet?
Yep, 3 of us went to Surrey RR this morning.Cayman S gen2 pdk; completely stock, has a very lazy life (DD for wifee)
Boxster Spyder pdk; stock but with "no baffles" in PSE
Cayman R manual; Evoms intake, IPD plenum, GT3 TB, Fabspeeed sport cat headers, Remus TI exhaust, Softronic map
The Cay R was dyno'd two weeks ago on a mustang dyno at ~372bhp, which seemed high.
All three were run one after the other
Results rounded:
Cay S pdk: 300bhp
Boxster Spyder pdk: 316bhp
Cay R manual: 346bhp
What to make of these...
Charlie expected the Cay S to be somewhere between 300 - 310 from past efforts.
The Cay S was the first run of the day
The first run was mid 250's and the following two both around 299
The car leads a sedentary life
Drag race vs the R, the R pulls on it significantly but the S doesn't feel slow
Both Cay's running with shell Vpower fuel
The Boxster spyder was up second and achieved close to published figures, on all 3 runs
The Cay R was third up and ran 3 similar around 345bhp
So depending on what you want to baseline and interpret against:
the R mods seem to have added somewhere between 20-35bhp
Certainly the R feels much faster than the other two, but for a lot of mods (cost) = max 35bhp increase, at least on SRR...oh and it sounds the t*ts too
Would be good to get the R down on the 5th.
Charts here:
chart used as background was 2nd run on S overlaid with the other two cars best runs, final S was 299.8 = ~300

All that said it probably puts the bhp/ton for the minimal weight R now firmly around 987.2 Carrera S territory
~266 bhp/ton.
So not only will it destroy one in the corners / on track but won't get out dragged in the straights now either... .. yeah I know, flame bait
The 991 Carrera engine is a similar 3.4 unit isn't it? This tunes the CayR unit to similar power/litre I think doesn't it?
