what news of Cap'n Macadam?

Currently bringing chaos and tyre squeal to eastern europe.

The Lizard has landed

Not much tyre squealing over there tho Daz, didnt have much rubber left to squeal, most of it on a certain toll road in the land of the cabbage eaters

Blimey tho, tarmac is in much demand in the former eastern bloc! potholes big enough to loose an entire romany caravan

The 'ring lads, what a laugh 'eh, Im defo going back, green hell my ar*e, green heaven more like, hello to davyboy too if he sees this, good to catch up matey, your Turbo goes v well indeed, hope your tyres lasted you through France.

Ps DeR I can assure you I do in fact have more then 8 valves

I'll pop along to say hello as I live just up the road, but the Diver budget doesn't run to a PCGB Silverstone day

Hopefully there will be spare spaces or early retirements and Mr Kevlin will let me pay for the afternoon. I'll raid the kiddies piggy banks

I'll be there in the GT2, just enough time for it to have a rest from Spa day before yesterday!

I'll see you there RSR. Can't wait to see the new beastie. Hope you've had chance to master your 964 RS style of lapping with this one.

Unfortunately cannot make the 28th....
Is the Gt2 living up to expectations, now that you have spent time on track? Quite possibly a silly question

[quote=derestrictor]Anybody?

Nothing beats the feeling of being absolutely emasculated by some octogenarian in a 750 bhp race car.

Approaching 60,only abt 550 bhp,and only a road car with safety bits ............hope i can satisfy ur wish!

Paul - getting there with the handling! Look forward to giving you a run out in it next week.

Clubsport - Beyond my expectations, the car is completely awesome. Spa in the dry Tuesday afternoon was the most sublime driving experience of my life.

Vic - Have you had and e-mail about MH re. tyres, if not let me know.

Excellent...I am glad you are enjoying it, from your response it sounds an amazing experience.
Something for us normally aspirated lightweights to aspire too.

CS - not sure the GT2 is everyone's cup of tea!

The car suits my somewhat "aggresive" driving style on the track, someone smoother would probably find the RS more tactile and rewarding.

Aggressive driving style! LOL. Impressive you mean. Thats very modest of you JC, but you have to be smooth first before you can take liberties like those you displayed at a wet Oulton on cup tyres. Keep up the good work.

P.S Will RG be making an appearance?

Exceptional news!

I await my automotive chastisement with gritted teeth and ceremonial spiked helmet.

Btw, Petepeter - a small sparrow in the next shrub let it be known that, aside from occasioning modest dabs of dental torture, you are custodian of something not exactly hopeless when it comes to track work?

Does this mean you will be around for the day/participating?

N'Orc.

Guys,

I'll be there in a MKII speed yellow GT3 clubsport.

I would like to get some shots of my car along side any other porsches, especially any GT3's, so if any of you wouldn't mind, that would be great for the album.

RSR... just how quick is that GT2 of yours ??, are they the handfull that people say they are ???

Glenn, The GT2 is very quick, but the suspension is quite compliant compared to say a 964rs so the power is pretty accesable.

It does take some caution in the wet, but the boost is very progressive so it's still pretty driveable.

In the dry you have to be really pushing on to get the back end out of shape, but it's go so much poke containing it is not too much of an issue.

The chap who had mine ran it one off full soft on the front anti roll bar which made it tend to understeer. With it stiffened up you can steer it better on the throttle.
