Whoaaaah! That yellow car is epic!!! Turbo?and still need to find somewhere to race this
Love both the 964s though - good work. Crass question, but is the other one reasonable to run compared to say a 996 C2 race car? Happy to PM if that is better.
Thanks for any advice.

yeah the yellow one is a turbo, it was built by eurotech on an original cup shell for the british GT championship in about 1994 and was competitive with the GT2s until around 1997. The cars absolutely mental, its one of the nicest shell preps I've ever seen and probably a bit to good to race. Love both the 964s though - good work. I don't know how a 964 compares with a 996 as I've never raced a 996. But the 964 is a very robust well made car. Its not too hard on tyres, but it eats brakes, we have big reds on the front so the pads and discs are expensive. We struggled to get hold of original porsche panels when we had some body damage, and they are expensive when you do finally get them, I imagine a 996 would be better in this regard. The 996 benefits from the mass produced nature and the fact that there are a lot more 996's in breakers yards and parts availability is better and most parts I imagine are a bit cheaper. I think its the same with 944s and boxsters, the parts are harder to find on a 944 so they become more costly.
Nothing beats racing an air cooled 911, and only people that have raced air cooled 911s will know what that really means. there is something about the 5 dials, the air cooled howl and the slight bobbing of the nose as you put power down on corner exit.

Nice one Rob, I knew you would chime in at some point. Is the 944 coming out at all this year? That yellow 965 is proper mental its the sort of thing Mark who posted earlier would drive (probably a story in there actually).
The 944 won't be out unless we have a problem with the 964 c2. It wasn't running quite right last week and now this week it won't start at all. So I'll have to do some work before it gets a track day or two.graemel said:
Have you got any better photos? I don't know much that would distinguish it from others, but I do know its very rare for a RHD non sunroof car. and it does have the original leather topped dash, which I think you've mentioned before. Are you going to have a crack at the Intermarque this year?
[quote=BIG GT2]my old 928 in the future classics, nearly re-shelled now. usually at a few tracks i want to do, instead of going here there and everywhere when i dont want to. booked in for silverstone in may then spa in june for starters!
You seem to have done a good job with the old girl. First place at Silverstone! Well done!!! Showing the Tuscan and Lotus who is boss was nice...

was a good end to the weekend. first time i had drove it was in qualifying, just ran out of time to test. should be great once i can get the power down, the rebound adjusters on the rear were seized so had the bumpy combe settings from when i raced it last year. bit more development and it will fly!

I'm not sure if it is your old car or not, you'll have to come and see it at an AMOC round this year. Found some better photos today
The Intermarque is getting back to its old self, and we are now getting some really competitive grids. At Dony on Saturday we will have 964's, 968's, a 944 turbo, 911 sc's, Ferrari 355's, 456 and 550, at least 4 DB4 astons and a couple V8s.
