"N4s on the front and N3s for the rear"
You shouldn't mix N numbers on a Porker.
Yes you're right you shouldn't mix if you want even grip. Just thought I would try it! Mad but it worked out for the best.
The N4s on the front dig in and grip much better than the N3s used to - that's the point I was trying to make.

Guys whats your thoughts on Pireli p zero Rosso.
I dont thinks I'll get AVS's if they are not going to last very long. Hade a quote for £570 fiteed and balanced on teh Pireli.
Rosso any good?
My tyres are only ever used on hot dry roads. In this respect, I found the P Zero Rossos to be far superior to Michelin Pilot Sports. Very grippy and progressive, whilst the Michelins are merely quite grippy and progressive.
Turn-in also seemed sharper with the Pirellis.
Can't comment on wet weather performance, nor performance when cold.

Interesting tread on tyres and best grip. I always have to check on the writers profile to see if their cars are front or rear drive.
On my 944S2 I changed to Bridgestone having followed previous discussions. I asked for SO2's as recommended.
The tyres fitted are S02'A's with N4 noted. Am I right that the tread pattern is totally different from original SO2's and if so what are they? and are they as good as originals?
