My OPC have now offered me a rate just under 6% APR but Lombard appear to be able to offer a bit better. Waiting for a call back to check figures.

I'd be looking for a deal below 5% APR. They're paying literally nothing for the money they're lending you. Did you try Oracle? Use them to beat your OPC up - you're buying a new turbo which is an expensive car - OPC should give you the best rate possible if they want the biz.

Be interested to know what Lombard come up with. The last one I did with them about 2 years ago came out at 4.9% APR.

I used Jamie Garside at Eurolease when I bought my 991 Turbo in October. He got me a better deal than my OPC.
+1 Jamie is awesome. Best deals and great service.

I've been offered 5.3% by Lombard & Jamie at Eurolease 5.5% but with a lower balloon (£10k+ lower?!) than the OPC & Lombard are using. Also spoke to Oracle Finance who offered a similar APR too but slightly lower balloon vs L & OPC.

Nothing available out there at sub 5% unless you use your own mortgage lol

Keep me posted. Might be that the cost of funds has increased.

good deal - what balloon did you manage? Also is it a variable or fixed rate?

It is regulated so fixed & the balloon is £3000 lower than the OPC which isn't a problem to me as the APR is lower, so the payments are virtually the same.

Saved a whopping £3000 over 3 years in interest vs the OPC finance deal. Thanks Lombard

Was this a PCP or a lease purchase?

It's LP with a balloon as low as PCP. Also regulated & a fixed APR.

On PCP the APR would be a lot higher.

I dont know of this has been clarified before on Pistonheads but one should never use finance to fund the purchase of a motor vehicle. It will cost you far more in the long run than simply purchasing said motor car with real money.

Well, in all the years I've been on PH I've never heard that mentioned.

No Siree....never. Uh uh.
