Porsche Servicing In The North West?
Discussion
Thanks to everyone for the answers. I will look into all of the recommended garages, make some calls and then come to a decision.
I don't use the term "rip off" lightly, but when they tell me I need a new steering rack to pass an MOT, I refuse and it passes without, then 12 months later it passes again at the cost of just £45 for the test (absolutely nothing need doing) and an independent specialist describes needing a new steering rack as "complete bullst", what other conclusion can I arrive at?
Porsche Bolton may well be very good, but my experience at Leeds has put me off and I'm sure many people would be the same in my position.

You asked for options close to Preston. Porsche Centre Bolton are reasonably close to Preston. I know many people who trust them to look after their car. They looked after mine when I was bound to the network because of warranty regs. Always go out of their way to offer the most competitive price they can. They are also noted as having a very good parts department. Anyway, you've been given plenty of options.
All I did was point out a bad experience at Porsche Leeds which is why I will not trust a main dealership anymore. If a branch tried to rip you off for £2000, would you trust one of the other branches or go somewhere completely independent?I don't use the term "rip off" lightly, but when they tell me I need a new steering rack to pass an MOT, I refuse and it passes without, then 12 months later it passes again at the cost of just £45 for the test (absolutely nothing need doing) and an independent specialist describes needing a new steering rack as "complete bullst", what other conclusion can I arrive at?
