I’ve read some stuff on line about early owners shipping their cars back to Singer to have bits upgraded to later spec... including replacing the 3.8 engine with a shiny new 4.0.
The DLS looks fabulous, but personally I’d have a ‘regular’ one.
Happy with either The DLS looks fabulous, but personally I’d have a ‘regular’ one.
I think I’d prefer a normal one, not that I will ever have to seriously weigh the pros and cons of either one unfortunately

I have to say when I watched this I thought it was a really, really old video and wondered how many more cars they’d made since then and how the car had improved and evolved in that time - especially after seeing videos of the new one shown at Goodwood. I thought it must be a pain if you’d bought an early one, as the “new” ones would be far more refined, improved, evolved, etc. After saying that, it really is a very beautiful car and I think lottery win permitting, it would be a nice thing to own, but it would have to come after a CGT - so it would need to be a euro millions win I’m afraid.
I had no idea there’d made so few - it’s one of those rare companies whose brand presence far out ways the reality of its actuasl scale.
Either way, best of luck to them, it’s nice to have companies that do this sort of thing really well.
Anyone on here own one - would love to know what they are like to live with - such a shame that the highest mileage one still had very few miles on it - it looks like the most perfect DD to me. Wouldn’t that be amazing to be able to own something like this and to have the means or the mindset to genuinely really not care about it’s value. As I say, a Euro millions win may be about the only thing that would make that truly possible.
( I loved the colour; I wonder where it was “borrowed” from - I think he said it was Lunar Silver ?)
CGT and Singer are definitely the perfect complement to each other!! I had no idea there’d made so few - it’s one of those rare companies whose brand presence far out ways the reality of its actuasl scale.

I've owned one for 1 year and a half now...I'm completely in love, definitely one of the most unique cars I've owned and one that ticks almost every box for me.
I've been almost everywhere in it since I've bought it...it has now 11k miles (Tim was referring to mine in the video and at the time it had 8.5k miles). I've been to Le Mans twice, to the south of France, Dolomites, Milan, Monza, Munich, California (did a 2k miles roadtrip just before having some upgrades done at Singer), Scotland and the list goes on! I've planned already few trips next year, Iceland probably being the most exciting. I just love the bloody car. That and a CGT is really all you need if you love Porsche!

Did you spec it with the sunroof and then have it removed ? or was it the other way around ? Maxige said:

Love the car , it’s really beautiful - perfect interior / exterior Combo.
Fantastic to see it being used as intended - brilliant
CGT isn’t too shabby either - what a lucky fellow you are.
Enjoy

The definition of ‘lust’
It is a thing of beauty. Dont really get the CGT thing though.

10 plus years ago neither did I. But once you have had a chance to take in every nuance of the bodywork design. The engine bay is a work of art. It is a thing of beauty. Dont really get the CGT thing though.
Ian
Then drive one your opinion would probably change.

Good eye! I bought the car "used" from the original owner. It had around 4k miles in it. The trip to California was before dropping the car to Singer to make few modifications to bring it back to latest spec (suspensions, engine, ecu etc) and to change few details I wasn't particularly happy about, one of these was the sunroof that has been replaced by their carbon fiber roof skin. In the video, Tim from SVD is a bit cagey about the colour. Recently I spotted an advert for a Caterham painted in Ferrari titanio grigio silver which I thought looked similar!
Maybe thats why they have renamed the colour as its stolen from a supercar competitor??
I could watch the video over and over!!
