I was quite fond of this one but sold it for a Ferrari 360, it was an itch that needed scratching.

This was a special little thing. I just didn’t use it enough and thought I didn’t need two toys.

A 1968 2.0S in Albert Blue. Mine for ten years.

What a daft thing to do.

Originally supplied in a 356 colour Dolphin Grey and I see the new owner has restored it rather nicely.

But personally I preferred the Blue. smile

1998 993 GT Evo, one of 21. Bought it from the first owner in 2003 for £85k, sold in 2006 to make way for the CGT. Now owned by Jan Koum who has three, as you do. Did 20k miles in 3 years, including numerous track days all over the EU. It had no leather dash, no contrasting stitching, but instead had a full welded roll cage:

That is so cool - enquirer about building a copy last year and was quoted 350-400k - ouch
You should have kept that one …

Probably the most fun track day 911 to drive I've owned. Ended up a 3.9 Manthey with a 996 Cup trans and the kitchen sink thrown at it mechanically. Now Mr Rance owns it AFAIK. Got some pics somewhere of it sideways through Pouhon hehe

Here you go JC,the start of my slippery slope of motorsport and spending the hard earned.

Mel spear in the pic also, plus my father.

My 993 Gt2,the first right hand drive made, sold it with 10000 miles.

It had comfort seats, plastic dash,no stitching, steel brakes, and went like st off a shovelsmile

Sold this and a 993 Turbo at the same time; should have kept them both.

Here a few of the cars I wish I had never sold. Odd to think that I paid less for all 4 than it would cost to buy a single GT3 today. Should have tucked them all away. Hindsight and all that.
Ok - Question for everyone who posted biggrin suppose there was an alternate reality whereby prices of all the cars listed as regret selling' were still broadly exactly the same as what you had sold them for.... How much less if at all would you still be regretting selling them? Not trying to ststir here (really!) but just wondering how much of the regret factor is monetary......

Sold this for £12k with 65000 miles back in 2003. Bought a 996Targa and didn't have garage space for both of them. Isn't hindsight wonderful..............

I had to sell to get the next one. It's my itchy feet as much as the value that upsets me. I get bored quickly. However, finances allowing, I would indeed buy them all back (except the 3.2 possibly) if they were still the same price.
For context I have had quite a few others, including 993, 928 GTS and a 964, that have all gone up in value but I don't miss them - well, now I think about it, perhaps the 964...

Great question. I sold my 964 3.6 Turbo and the 993 GT2 evo after bad builders screwed our house up and we had to redo everything again from top to bottom. This happened just post 2008 banking crisis that also screwed most people up. All the money from the cars got swallowed up by the house and more. I would buy both back tomorrow without a thought for the same money I sold them for as IMO they are two of the most stunning 911's that Porsche has ever made. I will post a couple of pictures later when I have more time
