Big big price difference from the oem MK1 to MK2 GT3 discs.

Mk1s are £165 each.

Lol - I wish... the Standard OEM drilled discs from Porsche are £1000 per pair for the fronts before discount.
...
Some guys using the standard front discs found that they were cracking in a very short time scale (<4 track days) whereas others were getting more out of them. I changed mine purely because I didn't want the cracking problem to reoccur. My Brembos were almost the same price as the OEM discs so it was a no brainer for me!

Thanks for the info about the Brembos.

Are these not OEM discs, then?

Design 911 GT3 discs are OEM they are £165 and they are for the Mk 1.

Mk 2 discs are a HUGE price hike for not a lot of metal. If you email Steve McHale at JZM he will give you chapter and verse on cost for the floaters. It is not cheap.

Not that long ago Jasmine were selling a six pot upgrade kit for around £1300 I think. They may have a few sets left.

Another option is Carnewal. Gert does a similar kit but you need to email for the UK price which he will discount from his web price list then add tax. The discount, depending on which parts, should wipe out the tax and often even more.

I have found that (Pagid) pads are cheapest from Performance Braking for your info...
