Those markd look like heat distortion IMHO.

Whoever you took your car to gave it a damn good ragging or more likely left it with the engine running. To do it driving around you would need a long stint at 10/10ths.

Check on the inner surface to make sure your heat shields are still in place.

And send them the before and after photo's.

Have sent before and after photos and just had a call from the garage.

They said nothing was put over the exhausts, and the car was only driven on a bypass top speed 90mph.

I'm starting to wonder if they were there all along and I didn't pick up on them?

Think I'm going to have to put this one down as expericance.

probably were. If your car went in to JZ Machtec and was damaged there Steve would have been straight on the phone. He is a very straight guy.

These look like scuff marks that have subsequently been polished over to try and remove the worst of the scratching.
It normally happens when the car is reversed into a low steel tube type barrier.
White is notorious for hiding defects like this until you get it into exactly the correct light to highlight the damage.
Playing devils advocate here for a moment, there is a chance it was damaged by the company that have just carried out your geo adjustment, but I'd guess the marks were there prior to this and (even though you may have waxed the rear bumper and polished the exhaust tips previously) it's likely they've previously escaped your attention.

I can't believe any decent garage would knowingly damage your car and then fix it without telling you (even if the fix was half-bad). The paint would still be soft if it were done in the last few weeks anyway.

Well I'm at a loss really. The inside of my wheels have also been badly marked where they took the nuts off, but I guess that's one of those things.

Oh well, I think I'll watch the car next time it goes anywhere

Thats not really very good. I'd have a word with them about that if you know it happened when they did it. Mine were not damaged when they did my geo (I had my wheels off the other week and they were fine bar the customary RS corrosion issue).

Bumper issue is perhaps trickier, but I think you'd have noticed it before if it was there?

All my wheels were brand new when I bought the car, and the wheels have never been off.

Now they all have deep ring scratches in the red paint around the bolts.

The highlights are blown(over exposed) in your before picture, so even if those marks were there, you might not see them.

They obviously got some cackhanded YTS to remove your wheelnuts.
