what they should do is embrace Web2.0 technologies such as YouTube. When PH tests a car, they could record the video, store it on YouTube and just embed the youtube player on the PH website. It wouldn't be difficult to do at all

That is one VERY gorgeous car! I love the flowing lines and the CGT-esque styling, although maybe the B/C pillar is a little on the large side. Its a shame the price is so high, but I still think its stunning, and i'd buy one if I had the money, Maybe its what the cayman S should have been?

Not so keen on the bits of black tape they forgot to remove from the rear quarters.

Agreed, looks like a mini Carrera GT. want one and would be prepared to kill for the privilage

Would someone choose this over a 997TT? Exclusivity alone must count in its favour - couple that with arguably a better looking exterior.

Yes I see your point, but remember that true beauty is not always at 1st sight. These all have 2 tone weird bits that we have loved to admire over the years:

Austin Heally 100/4 (or 3000 for common people)
Bugatti Veyron

Well, it's as ugly as any modern Porsche but at least these RUF wheels still look great after all those years.

3400S equivalent will be better, as long as they don't fiddle with the bloody styling too much!

I agree.

I had low powered Porsches for years. 912, 914, 911 T.

Make this a great looking car and a varying price tag for the power and more people will buy it!!

I love it. I adore what RUF does with Porsches. This car is clearly aimed at the gentleman with a multi-car stable so the "why not have a 997 turbo?" argument is to a large extent irrelevant. Assuming I could afford either (I wish!) then the RUF would get my vote. Only question is... which colour?? I'm thinking Carrera GT Silver/Dark red leather or (Traditional RUF) Speed Yellow/Black - any other ideas?

Why restyle the body? Its an XJS rear end.
Its a very expensive chav bodykit.

Forget the ugly halfords 997tt or the overdone CGT, this is beautiful, simple, elegance. Well done Ruf!

Personally I think it's stunning and a really unique car.

As for comments about it vs a 997TT, thats not really relevent, since you'll find that the people who buy these will also probably have a 997TT and likely quite a few other cars as well. It's not like they are bought as an only car for daily use.

Not seeing that much in common there myself, only real similarity is that they both have buttresses...

From the rear 3/4 there's a hint of that Chrysler Crossfire thing (which is not good)

Ooo. Love the rear buttresses. Quite powerful, too.

But where's the slippy diff??? That plus a chip 'n' exhaust is all you need to better a 997, why spend 200K?
