The lard keeps adding!
BM, you notice it has a bolt in rear cage....and if sir would like the front cage attatchments should he venture out on a trackday, they are available aftermarket from Porsche!
I am only jealous as the last real RS never had seatbelts and you tend to nut yourself on the full welded in cage when you enter....perhaps that actually explains a lot!
No doubt it'll be good to drive, like all the RSes... however (shallow mode on) this is the first car that gets close to 993 RS in terms of looks. The '73 ducktail was cool looking but not beautiful - the 993 RS is the most beautiful Porsche IMO... however this new car is damn close...
And if Porsche keep production up there's a chance I'll be able to own one in 4 years time or so... Will there be any point on our roads in 4 years, that's the question...

Yeah, but it's a lot of money for a trackday toy that only gets used 10 times a year I guess I'll keep dreaming...

How many of you also considered a 996 GT2 instead of the 997 RS? Why did you go for the RS instead? - engine note / newer shape?
Still no date for GT2 yet....
It will no doubt be another monster machine, but the RS will be a more tactile and
focused track machine, and in many peoples hands still quicker, due to the linear
power delivery of the engine....
