The premium whilst still there is seems to be only 5k or less for similar condition models though, seems to be less than before as said above.
Sorry, but the premium IS £10k.
You see low mileage 993 4Ss in the high £30ks, but no way is a cooking low mileage 4 going to get within £10k of that.
Haven't checked for a while, but there were a couple of 2S with 65k for 27-28k in Autotrader. Only 5k more than a similar age C2/C4. It follows that the premium will decrease as the mileage. All depends on condition / colour etc etc anyway as per usual.

I sold my 1996 993 C4 with 62500 miles and FPMDSH on 1 August for £27500. The only reason i didn't get £28000 for it was that it needed some new tyres. It was a minter though.
Lovely 2S here

for £35K.
Equivalent cooking 2 likely to be £25k (£10k less), can't see a 2 being sold for £30K (£5K less).

Its like the 964 threads when everyone says they're shite, they leak, the dmfs fail and so on - total bollos like that
Having one in my garage I couldn't agree more ... and decent 964s make a good price too.
Ian.
PS from your handle I suspect we know each other from PCGB forum
Surely you can only determine a premium if you can compare like for like. Comparing, for example, a varioram C2S against a non varioram C2 is not valid and this is mostly what you see. Also adverts don't reflect achieved selling price or those cars sold by word of mouth. Or condition which is probably the most important factor in price.
The Targa, C4, C2, C4S and C2S in varioram were made in very similar low volume numbers (250 to 350 manual RHD with Targa at the top - then a step down to 4S which was 180). Any of these in good condition is hard to find. Currently C4S cars are hot probably because of the added rareness.
As always it's all about rareness. There is a lot more C2s in total to C2S for example, but not if you want varioram. There are a lot more mid mileage cars than low mileage cars. etc.
If the point of the post is there is a premium between a mid mileage C2S vs a mid mileage C2 and don't care about varioram then I agree as there are many more C2 cars to choose from. However like for like I don't see the premium.

I think if you compared like for like, say 50k miles, 1996 (therefore both vario), same interior and exterior colours and same condition, there would be a difference of between 5k and 10k between equivalent cars (whether that's 2 vs 2S or 4 vs 4S).
