Scottster is winding you up. He is after a set of 18 inch turbo 4 hollow spokes, not some 3.6 split rims. Well, that's what he told me, so if he was lying I guess he got double bluffed himself!
Besides, those Boxster wheels need sorting on your 3.3 more than the 17 inch turbo 4 replicas on Scottster's 993. They look OK, but obviously an extra inch really matters to Davey ;-)

C'mon UV. Stop that dithering now.
1) Refurbishing is as little as 26 quid a rim, I know a few places if you don't
2) They cost 1300 quid EACH from Porsche.
Ray's little deal sounds okay to me, and if the rubber is shite he knows a friendly and local rubber merchant who'll oblige for a good price (just ask him).
Keep the existing rims for trackday use, or with winter rubber on. Or flog them in 911+PW mag in the free classifieds.

I agree with Domster's pricing but that depends of course if they're original 3.6 turbo ones (ie: with little clear 'Official Porsche' sticker on the outside polished part of the rim) or afer-market ones. Not that it really matters, just big diff in price.
I'd go for it, sod the wallet, they'll look the bo**ox. I was wondering what he'd give me trade in on mine too, same as you I guess as I have nearly new rubber all round too.
Still torn between a set of 993 RS splits or 18" turbo directionals. Will the RS wheels look a bit overkill unless I do the rest of the RS look, (which is probably not good value for money anyway) when I could happily settle for a C4S look (still quite nice).... Or should I just save all my pennies in case I need to play catch-up when Dom buys a 993tt

Well, if rubber was shot I'd say 300 was good. As it is it ain't bad. Maybe he'd go to 350. What is rubber like on the speedlines - maybe get him to put 2/4 new tyres on for you and go for 300 p/x.
I'd say his splitrims were cheap enough to go for though, in any case. Your car will look a ton better with them on. Only thing that lets it down in my book.
