Will be interesting to see what this gets to. Looks lovely -it reached £58k in June at Bonhams but failed to make reserve.

Is it me or is something off about that front gap? or the curvature of it?

In the video both the engine cover and frunk look like they need some finessing on their hinges, although it may be down to poorly fitting panels. The engine cover looks open as the video comes around to the nearside. The seatbelt upper loop is rusty and the gauges look like they need cleaning inside. Looks like poor attention to detail.

a mess indeed, more Porsche with retro panels have that sort, new materials but bad manufactured... maybe cheap panels? many so called backdate cars have the same-ish problems, I guess they buy by the same dealer... the same some at the rear, you then can't get the flashing lights/airducts/rearlights straight in one go, maybe you can get them a bit better with some grinding some holes a bit, but you can't get it perfect with those new panels, they (mostly front right) are not good from that manufacturer that many people seem to use.

Surely nobody pays actual market value on CC? That’s just some random pictures on the internet at the end of the day.
I did chuckle at that. Sums up CC perfectly

Not my cup of T but I know the seller has put a lot of time and effort into this particular build.

For some it’s all about the build, but I fear he’s going to take a bath on the eventual selling price ?

That just doesn't look quite right somehow! Lovely looking 964 C4 on CC just now!

Many cars put on CC as most folks know have some issues of sort.

I certainly would not buy there.

No consumer protection for buyers , exorbitant buyers fee and overall a very large risk for the buyer

If you ultimately reject the car you are out of pocket on the buyers fee.

It's the same as buying privately and you can inspect the car .... but without any guarantee that having done that you will buy it if OK ...

Having said that, I agreed to pay the asking price for a private sale subject to an inspection by Peter Morgan ... only to have the seller break his agreement and ask me to pay more. I said that I would reluctantly accept that so long as the seller agreed to pay the cost to myself of the inspection ... which he then refused to do based on the fact that he was a pensioner. As-if ... !

I still think that Collecting Cars is good ...

Perhaps for some it is.

The real issue is if a seller inadvertently or deliberately misleads a purchaser on condition of the car. But if a private sale you reduce your offer or walk away with no expense

However With a CC purchase you have paid out thousands in a buyers premium immediately, which they will not refund Under any circumstances

A lot of cars have been rejected and plenty of disgruntled buyers

High risk to me unless you have fully inspected the car prior to auction I

If collecting cars are immovable on their charges when a car is mis-described, I would agree that is a problem ...

I should mention above that in the Peter Morgan inspection example I forgot to mention that there had been another prospective purchaser looking at the car whilst Peter Morgan was, and it was the prospective purchaser that offered more. It was the mistake of the vendor to break his word without refunding the cost of my inspection.

The car was a very rare car in poorly patched up but complete condition, it cost the dealer purchaser a lot to restore and then took a very long time (years) to sell ... so maybe I was well out of it.
