Oct 1997 996 C2
Arctic Silver with black interior
Had top mounts changed and a service after ppi.
Changed battery and headlight bulbs as first jobs.
Two bolster seats in the back.
Not had much of a chance to drive it yet and have a list of jobs to deal with:
Aircon pipes
Brake pipes
Wind noise from drivers window
Steering vibration
Alignment
Sunroof seal
All good fun!

The last main use it had was to Lake Garda last May via Austia, Munich, Stuttgart, Reims.
Nice car ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
How did you find doing that sort of mileage/journey in it ? I've got a 10 year old Cayman and I'm looking at doing similar this summer over 10 days.

The drive was okay, we didn't get too tired, isn't that far if you spread it out over a few weeks and we had a lovely 3 nights on Garda then came back via Switzerland. I agree with the sport seats, they were comfortable. Had a coil pack fail on the way back and one of the best things I ever did was take out the top level cover with the RAC. They recovered the vehicle, paid all the motorway fee's, gave me a hire car, put me up on a hotel for 2 nights in Nancy and then paid for my taxi to the garage to collect the Porsche. I was annoyed with myself as I knew the coil packs were original and meant to pop a spare in the boot but didn't. French 'duty of care' meant all 8 had to be replaced at a cost of 800 euro's. Never mind
