Sacrilege. 911s are wonderful cars, Boxsters are just cheap imitations for people who can't afford to pay for the premium product.

What sort of price would it be for doing something like this ?
I'm guessing it wouldn't come cheap ?
Doner car + £20k eek

I can admire what they do as clearly they have a passion, but what really gets on my tits is that they're trying to sell you £20k of goods and services yet can't even be bothered to get someone to check the spelling/grammar on their website. Doesn't bode well in terms of attention to detail

I have a 911 but have considered an early boxster as they a such nice straight forward cars, not better or worse than a 911 just different

If you type "ANu Dimension GTB Porsche Boxster Rebody" into a popular interweb search engine you will pull up a feature that includes some other images.

I can't help but be impressed as they have pretty much nailed the aesthetics/DNA. There's a tiny bit of 911 GT1 in there somewhere with that 'long' wheelbase.

Not so sure about the practicalities though - how are you supposed to maintain access to the engine from above? I found one image of the rear boot/trunk showing the oil and water filler caps...

When I brought my car home, my neighbour popped round to say Hello as he'd just put a deposit on one too - difference is mine was a 4 grand project, his was a 12 grand split minter retirement/forever car from Yorkshire classic porsche.

To be fair - his is absolutely bloody lovely. But not sure its 3x more lovely.

That 2.7 in red looks a good buy. Looks identical to my 2.5 although mine has a set of later spec wheels. Seeing that pic has prompted me to get my original wheels refurbished as they look much better.

Mine is a bit neglected, MOT ran out at the end of March but no time to sort it so it is just sitting on the CTEK in preparation. Only 700 miles or so in the last year so I should try to use it more!

Looks nice. Think I would find the extra 1500 for a 3.2. #biased..

I quite like them in guards red but I was really after a 3.2 if 986, I think I would find the 2.7 too slow, and the 0-60 time would be slower than my X5 which just seems wrong...

Looks like a nice example though, shouldn't think it'll hang around too long.
