I've just bought some poverty Pork…

Is it common for lower mileage cars to have gaps in their history like this one:

It's just that it keeps waving at me as I drive past on my way home from work. I really can't justify it. At all. Fortunately, the gappy history, potential bills and tiptronic box is putting me off sufficiently. The wife really isn't helping matters with her 'ooh, that's lovely' type comments. It does look nice though. Damn my mid-life crisis.

Seems good for £4k.

MOT History looks ok too.
EDIT - Can't get that link to work, so here's a direct one to their website, listed at £4,995.00 on there in which case, probably not that good.

No, you're right, wrong thread for that, it was posted mainly as people had commented about low mileage cars with gaps in the history. Maybe poverty means something else in the upper echelons but the car that started this thread was sub 4k !!!!!
I'm certainly not in the upper echelons, see my garage...

My 924 had a 20 odd year gap in the service history. It had only covered 6000 miles and had been dry stored. Never again will I buy something like that!Fast Bug said:

Ha ha ha, I bet that has had every hose and line replaced ??? how much recommissioning did it need ? Still bet its lovely, get a pic or 3 up ...Got it something like with string, but nowhere near good enough to push, shocking bump steer coming from the back.
However, it a little spin did prove that the money looks to have been well spent, it feels ever so 'tight' and smooth now. And on standard springs, while its not as low as it was, I was worried it would look a bit goofy but its not too bad at all. Maybe some wheels spacers to push them out a bit in the future someday.
Gave a good clean and polish as it was filthy from living on the drive under a tree for 2 weeks. Camera flatter it, but still, not a bad looking motor for the price of a 6 year old mondeo!
