All you need to do is change over the seat belt buckles, they're different on a 996. The wiring and air bag connected up easily iirc. Other than that, direct fit on the rails.
Aren't these just standard 997 seats or do they only come in the GT3? Really updates the interior!

I can't look past the awful white text on the tyres! the alloys looks nice but personally the stock wheels look great and have aged really well!

Mine were out of a GT3, not sure if they were optioned in another model. Only semi electric and alcantara. But they are superbly comfortable and a massive improvement over standard.

Just got the insurance for my new turbo purchase - I need a lie down. It was 280 quid, 8K miles including business ... that's actually less than I was paying for my C2 smile

No but TBH I’ve never really read good things about them - maybe on an appreciating car but not sure helpful on this one

My plan is just not to have a crash that bad ;-)

Two days to go. Aaaargh! Anticipation killing me!

They look like 997 Sports seats to me (I have them in my car - rake of the backrest is electric, the rest manual). The standard 997 seat doesn't have the shoulder lumps. You could also get adaptive seats and (I think) full on electric chairs.

If you specked a 996/7 GT3 with 'comfort' seats, then they would be the electro adjust seats as the other models f 996/7. So yes, standard.

Picked mine up now, over the moon but I’ve not had a chance to drive it properly yet!

Engine feels amazing and car feels so confident on the road - driving it home to Scotland on Thursday so I will get a good run then.

Mike has been a lovely guy to deal with and I’ll go back there for my servicing in future!

Anyway, can’t stop grinning

Best ones here in the advert Adam - my 996.1 was Artic with sports seats as well, so I'm a fan! It's in great condition .... feels 10 years younger than my old car rather than 3! It's a late 2001 car so a 2002 spec with glovebox, dimming mirror, heated seats etc

Feels very firm compared to my 3.4 (which was on new dampers) but very well controlled. Brakes feel epic once you stand on them! Barely had a chance to warm the engine up yet and I don't know the roads here, so I'm taking it easy till I get it back to Scotland!

Very nice and I like the spec - especially the small Ali pack, and the ali/leather gearstick and handbrake which breaks up the black interior well

Also leather rear centre console is rare to find and does a good job of hiding the rather naff plastic standard trim (got this retro fitted in my 997 turbo)

Heated seats was always a cost option btw

I didn’t even notice the leather console and thanks for the info on the seats!

In two days both kids seats will be back in the car and it’s back to the school run ;-)

Very nice, and if you purchased it from Mike at S&C's, it'll be a proper car. He used to look after my 996t several years back, and Mike and his team left no stone unturned in keeping it in top top condition.

Enjoy, they're great cars.

My 3.4 was a 1999 car, in artic with black hard-backed sports seats as well, so the spec is similar, but going into this new car felt like a massive step up in build quality - interior felt hewn from granite!

And yes, it was the history that appealed to me - I could have went for a lower mileage car and found all of that needed doing. 3.5 years of 996 ownership has my eyes open to everything that is still to come, but it's still going to be my daily so I'm prepared to keep it in good nick and as you say, pile the miles on... i'm not buying it as an investment smile
You’re going to love it.

Into my 13th year in 911 turbo from new and still reluctant to sell her. Fits perfect like an old pair of shoes. Not a squeak or a rattle and you’d be hard pushed to say a brand new drives better. In fact have a brand new 991.2 turbo s cab for SWMBO and have never taken the keys on an early morning run wink

Thank everyone for your kind wishes - first cold start this morning, sounds brilliantly growly! This is only the second Mezger I've ever driven - first was my friends Mk1 GT3 ClubSport, which sounded like a bag of spanners at idle (in a great way) no doubt due to the light-weight flywheel biggrin

And yes, Mike came across as very thorough indeed - he was doing the first service early for me and replaced a few things he could probably have skipped given he was selling it - always a good sign
