997 Turbo upgrade to 9e 28 by Nine Excellence (pic heavy)
Discussion
Saw one of these on the M40 yesterday.
On what was a dull, grey, overcast October day, it looked absolutely stunning.
It’s a BMW Individual colour Signal Green :
Or how about Porsche “Audi RS Blue”. AKA Nogaro blue (the colour used on the Porsche built RS2 ...) and the colour of Sambaman’s 993 GT2. Now if the factory have painted one of those in such a hue, it must set a precedent right ?
To the uninitiated it looks non metallic, but it’s actually pearlescent, and really pops in bright sunlight.

^^^^ Its one of my favourite colour PTS Olive Green - have thought about it. Love it but really not sure it would look so good on a 997 GT2 looks well a bit drab below.
I love the green on this Fiat. Its like faded mint green with white
This is how GT2 would look in similar mint ish green
and Signal Green

That can’t be the same colour, it’s matte for a start (and although photos can disguise the true likeness it’s many shades darker).ETA;
I think you’re confusing olive green with “black olive”.

So when exactly will you know what colour your car is going to be painted ?
Not Spoken to Ken/9e maybe 8-12 weeks.Dan911 said:
Love maritime on 964 but think it may make a 997 turbo look slightly too plastic. I hope so Chris as I want them to do the repair work on my drivers sill notwithstanding the contaminated paint all over the car which also needs sorting. You remember the damage you were there it was very light but some nasty nicks.
This is how the driver side sill should look on a 997 turbo i.e. arrow straight. I would say its one of the most important design cue / shoulder lines on both on 997/987.
This is the repaired sill ABT returned the car with and bit worse in real life/3d it meanders all the way down the sill line.
The repair bill to repair the sub standard repair and substandard glass out respray. These things happen my fault trusting others advice. She's now off to Porsche HQ for pampering and deserves it the way she's been mistreated. Cant wait to get her back (even if black but what an opportunity to do something funky)
Google review I gave re Bob and my personal experience of both him and his firm. Upside is I get to do my dream project so alls well that ends well

Thats finished in smooth black paint too rather than the reinforced under seal type paint Porsche uses at factory. You can see with naked eye that drivers sill is not straight or factory. What a nightmare.Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
