Really - black is classy. Gold is pure bling and looks cheap and tacky!

I think it looks amazing!

Black and gold are both horrible. Proper wheels or I'm not playing.

Did you manage to sell your gorgeous alfa?
I think you've mixed up identities with the original owner who owned both the 996 and the Alfa. MDL111 bought the 996 from him on Collecting cars a couple of years ago IIRC.
HTH
Ah ok, that makes sense. Thanks. I met the original owner at the ring, nice chap and stunning car.
Yes had a good look at the Alfa - amazing car but I couldn’t buy both .... he sold that via CC for a low price / much less than it was worth IMO

I think it really depends on the colour of the car. I think black work here because of the black details like the roof and as its such a strong colour. But the blue car above is quite dark and could suit brighter wheels. Just my opinion. Obviously its all up to the owner.

Yes they work OK with that bright blue. I don't think you could do Gold here.

Mmm, I'd still prefer more 'traditional'. I should add I love all of these cars and I'm being overly harsh. smile

If by traditional you mean silver? Once you start digging you'll realise there are many different silvers for wheels. They are all painted so silver is just the colour chosen.

Yep, this is how I like it to be done. clap

I'll also add a 987 Cayman is what I am planning to be my next car.

Tried black on my TVR.

Ended up with bright silver.

My Porsche will remain silver.

Well here’s a bit more Slate Grey with silver wheels…

And to add to Paul’s note, the previous owner sold it after 22 years to buy a Cayman…
