Well the 997C4S passed the 70k mile mark and given its excellent sure-footed service over the winter I decided to give it a decent clean. Washed, dried, clayed, paint prep, polished and waxed… It could really do with a re-spray (potentially gulf or riviera blue?) at some stage given the stone chips on the front end and the rear arches, and I know the stripes aren't to everyones tastes, but I love it!
Livery certainly not to my taste, but the car certainly is!

You're a ballsy guy for going with the Gulf livery, I like I it think it looks good it does not detract from the fact that it's a great car but I don't have the balls to do that. You must really like the attention? do you get any negative comments, in person I mean ?

Hahaha! To be honest, I've mainly had positive comments, a few folks don't like the stripes and reckon I've 'ruined the car' (they can be removed, honest!) but in the main most folks have given it the thumbs up. The stripes look much better in real life - it's difficult capturing the gulf blue / orange in the photos. You must really like the attention? do you get any negative comments, in person I mean ?
I teach Physics at a Secondary school and the majority of the kids love it. I've never had any issues on the road from other road users and it's no doubt helped me escape from junctions more easily than its previously stealthy all basalt black mode, probably because most drivers are thinking "WTF is that?"

I have to admit I'm anything Gulf oil Porsche fan, why did you go for the razor pattern edge with the blue by the way ?
Hi Oggy.
Not had any bother with the BiB yet! that may change now I'm on here.
Hi Dadofbud.
Couldn't find the welcome thread on the Porsche section on here, I should imagine there is one somewhere if I looked hard enough, I've been on BoXa forum for a while now same user name, just using this forum for any meets as there's not many on the other forums.
Might see you both around one day.

I like that a lot. Admit it's probably not for everyone, but would certainly turn heads for sure. And at the end of the day , if you the owner thinks it looks good, well that's all that counts.
