The £150,000 GT3 has arrived as predicted
Discussion
With the eyes of someone who missed the boat on the first wave of cars, and has sinced been priced out the market now they're listing at 140ish (unsold according to classifieds), is it known that there definitely won't be a 991.2 GT3 in the next couple of years as they did with the 997.1/2 ?
From what I've read on here, the assumption is no, but when talking with my OPC, he said not to rule it out (although sales guys don't tend to get much info until they need it)
So, is there expected to be no 991.2 GT3 ? If there is, will that result in 991.1 GT3's plummeting I'm price ?

Thanks, so the 2013 GT 3 with 12K miles @ £125K is a good deal then?
Well the next car is 143k today then 145k and then 1 at 150 and that's it.Ive never seen any model of car sell so quickly, its usually a matter of days.
Ive also never experienced values increasing from one sale to the next quite like this but anyone who has driven one can understand the demand.
There is nothing out there like it and the more you use one the more you fall totally in love. Its an addictive experience.
I think you are more than safe in any car at 125K especially a club sport with LEDS and PCCB. Shame theres no lift but the lips are only £130 so you can budget for a few of them instead.

1) it's a similar progression from the 991.1 as the 997.2 was from the 997.1 i.e. they don't balls it up but make it incrementally better
and
2) it's priced similarly to a 991.1 + inflation i.e. £110k or a tad more
....I think buyers of 991 GT3s now are going to take a bit of a bath. If it was me and I'd had my GT3 for a year or more, I'd probably be playing the long game, banging out the moment I got the slightest whiff of a 991.2 GT3 on the horizon (or even before, possibly now if £25k+ over list was offered) and putting my money somewhere safe, or in something like 997.2 GT3 which won't be too adversely affected by say a 20% drop in 991 GT3 prices. While the 991 GT3 is an epic car, it's not really low volume so medium to long term it is going to drop IMO, although if Porsche charged £130k for a 991.2 GT3, it would prop them up a little for longer I reckon

I didn't mention the £147,500 car because that is sold too and since i posted this the 145k car has also sold. But ive just seen there are a couple on topmarques...
You might want to change that link as it has (presumably) your postcode?!Edited by 5517 on Thursday 29th January 19:58

Apart from the fact its all based on a 991 gt3 2 which aint coming.
In addition to 167 is not a lot of cars, even more so for something that is so usable like the GT3......Think that there will be some profit taking at these 160k prices though.....
Time will tell, I doubt 20 import cars made the trip to the UK in such a short space of time.
I also find it hard to swallow that there is no 992/991.2 GT3 follow-up already in the pipeline, the GT3 is the halo we will see one whenever there is a new 911 model.
Happy to eat humble pie in 3 years time.
HavIng declined £150000 I do wonder at what point in the curve would I take the money
£175000 possibly as then it becomes an asset and not a car to drive and park
And that would be a real shame - but we all have a price and I think that's mine
Or have it stored professionally and anticipate further rises
First car ever that I have owned that has increased in value from day 1

.
I agree, but the 991 15Y face lift is not a new model, and by the time the FL is out, the RS will have only just been built, it may even still be in production at the time the FL is out, so why even bother building it if you are going to FL it a short time later.? .
Not saying that imv, there will never be another GT3 of sorts, (no idea as to what engine either) but from what I know, there wont be in the 991 same goes for RS also....
IMHO
