Blimey Lovell you don't hang about

As with any old Turbo I bet you will see a healthy reduction in lag and in an increase in boost once you replace all the pipes and check for any leaks in the system. It's amazing how many previous owners gradually let their car go off the boil as they don't notice minor things wearing out. A new owner jumps in with a fresh wallet and a keen heart and soon all is back to normal.

May the booooooooost be with you

That car looks enough to die for- but is it best to buy a reconditioned one so mechanicals are sorted no nasty suprises etc - I'm presuming your's is not ? Does anyone know where to get such 930's or similar . I would like one !

I Looked at loads b4 this one, then purchased this one unseen on E-Bay.Spoke to the company that used to service it,and the guy that was selling seemed very honset and it had full history. I think I found a bargin and with what I paid for it ,it left a couple of grand margin incase it needs a bigish spend. So far all I can find is front brakes could do with a service (maybe due to lack off use) and a cross over pipe on the exhaust is blowing (new s/steel one came with the car) and i have also had to put a new cluch cable on. The sunroofs a bit sticky (wind deflector dosnt always drop) but other than that its great. The PO had spent around £5k in the 3 years and the guy b4 that had the gearbox rebuild along with a new cluch (4k miles ago). Its always been run on Mobil 1 and leaks or burns no oil. There are a few stone chips but no body rot at all.
so far so good, even took me and the family to Nottingham today and we won 1-0.

Thanks for the info on the turbo , I don't think I have the guts to buy a car on e-bay but if you obtained enough history then why not - it looks .... no words to describe ? Are these models tricky to drive - corners etc or is the tail out thing over talked ?
