thanks for all the advice and links guys, I'll go take a look and I may see you there sometime.. (gulp)

any nasty stories of numbskulls who can't drive it very well dinging your cars? - I can just imagine some essex boy in a clio with a cherry bomb exhaust ttting into me! mad

I've got to smile last car I brought back from the 'ring for work was a Clio of an essex boy went bang tho not spanked.

Well if you do spank or blow it up it dont call the AA, won't recover near 'ring or in the case of a few have done (& damaged the car in the process) & then will present you with a £1500 bill when back in blighty.

Far be it from me to plug my own business *ahem* but if the worst does happen it might not have been a bad idea to have visited my website & bunged my number in ya mobile. Other options are available & share prices do go up as well as down yadda yadda etc etc etc etc

Nice one Adam, I know Henry said he saw you there whilst he was getting in some practice for the SH. I am missing not being there for SH, but one daughters 1st Birthday and anothers first day at school that both occur during this SH took preference!

I'm amazed at the number of people who enter the SH who manage to crash on the TF day before it starts, utter madness - that why I avoided it last time when we did the SH......

We're going again this Sunday, maybe see you there!

See you there! 1 x 928TS, 1 x 928GTS and E46M3 with a frenchman at the wheel should make it interesting...

Just been reading this old article from 'Performance Car' by John Barker.
I enjoyed it. I would so love to have been one of those passengers. And should I ever meet Adam at the Ring in the presence of his CTR, I'm going to speak very VERY nicely to him about a passenger ride!

Adam

great report, plus really enjoyed the feature on the yellowbird in EVO mag(take it that was your car?).
Hats off to you & any other folks who put forward their P&J to make those sort of features possible in car mags or TV programmes

I've been thinking about taking my C4S for a play at the ring, any advice for a newbie? paperbag

Yes. Don't try and follow a crappy looking Ascona GTE around the track in your "much faster car".

The Ascona will invariably be a local car, set up specifically for the 'Ring, and driven by someone who knows the circuit better than he knows his firstborn's birthday.

My first experience at the 'Ring, I watched someone put a Caterham into the weeds at high speed after being overtaken by some mid-80's hot hatch and taking umbrage. Fool.
