Lots of info on different sites. Only autocar seems to have prices!

"The initial line-up, due to arrive in the UK next April, consists of the trio of highly specified six-cylinder models. The £59,300 Macan Turbo, £43,300 Macan S and £43,300 Macan Diesel S all feature a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and permanent four-wheel drive as standard."

So a S Line Plus Q5 3.0 D list price is £42,880..

Pistonheads article has prices as well. So who's ordering (ordered) what?

Glad pricing seems fair, PH article claims to have a link to the press release with specs & fittings but I can't find it.

Full press release in this:

That multifunction wheel is standard. 19s standard on S petrol and turbo. Alcantara inserts on the S leather for the turbo. Side blades in body colour on turbo, CF is optional

Configurator seems to suggest 18s are standard on the 'S' models.

A moderate spec (19s, metallic paint, PCM with Bose, heated seats and Bose) gave me a list of £50k. The issue is the room in the back - Steve Cropley tweeted this morning that a Q3 has more legroom. If/when I go into this market a used Cayenne looks a better bet, given that space would be the motivating factor in getting me out of my Cayman.

No surprises in the price department-looks very nice. Finally a product to blow the Evoke into the weeds which is about the same price for the higher spec models. What would you rather have? A 50k weasy Land Rover or this. No contest. Wait for the fan boys to say 'but the Evoke is a proper 4wd'

Wise move, there's masses of legroom in the back of the Cayenne.

Pretty keen pricing - it shows how much margin there must be on the sports cars in the range. Either that or the Macan is not recouping any of the R&D on the systems and parts that it shares with other Porsches.

With sensible spec (PCM, air suspension and not a whole load else) it comes to £50k. Q whether the Turbo is the better value car given that it is an absurd (so brilliant) proposition.

My spec comes out at £51k for the S or DS.
Pretty much exactly what I was expecting.

My ideal spec comes out at £65k, which is pretty much bang on what I was expecting for the Turbo last week and nowhere near the £80k that some had in mind! Although, I'm sure it's possible to get to £80k if you go crazy on the options!

If it was the SQ5 engine I would perhaps agree, but it looks like its your classic oil burner engine to me - 250bhp, most of the torque between 1700 and 2500rpm.
The S produces about 100NM less torque but its to 5000rpm. The problem is ordering the car blind.. I dont think 250bhp in 2000kg is going to be enough - for me anyway. Crikey the top spec Nissan Navara has a very similar engine and PTWR.. torque is almost exactly the same.

Red, are you seriously going o compare a pick up with a macan. The DS still manages 6 sec to 60mph. It is a quick car. I'd say it's enough. If not take the petrol

No LOL, but its not my daily drive - its a second car so I want it to be at least a) sounding nice and b) quick enough.
I noice Porsche have not published any 0-200kmh times for the diesel..

It's a moderately powerful (but no more) d engine in a heavy car. It will do what you would expect. The 0-60 time is surprisingly good, but I expect that it flatters the car (just as the 0-60 times for some Porsches understate their everyday performance).

Right own up chaps, you've had all morning to get those deposits in, who's done the unthinkable and chosen to line Porsche's coffers with one of these?

They've had my deposit for 9 months!

I told them they need to sort my GT3 out before I'm going to finalise a Macan order!
