Top 3 were after the local car wash guys had washed it.

These 3 were after I applied some autoglym polish and then some autoglym
deep shine after . In under an hour you can apply polish , rub it off, then
apply the deep shine and rub it off. Results are pretty good and its easy to remove
with no white residue.

Been out all day in her. Visited Hatfield house where the parking guy said to me I was
too late for the Ferrari show as it was yesterday !!! He should have gone to specsavers!

Just off out again as its such a lovely day its seems a shame to sit in when I could be
cruising biggrin

Looking good! Mine has also had a good wash, colour polish, chipstick and wax. No pics as I have been out terrorising pub gardens with a second gear scream this afternoon :-) Got to love the bargain exhaust :-)

I posted some pics and a sound bite on boxa.net in the member rides section - same user name as here.

It's a Toyosport rear twin can silencer from ebay. The ebay ads don't state the brand and they normally list buy it now £250-299 but I won mine on an auction for £130.

I've been out on a few hoons now and anybody behind me has always commented on the exhaust. I can see entire pub gardens turning to see me coming sometimes laugh

My hunch is that the bypass pipes or the screwdriver to punch a hole through the tip are more subtle but if you had a TVR before then subtlety isn't required. Happy to demo if you are ever round Surrey or perhaps at Porsche Sunday Service.

Next mod - 996 throttle body and plenum then test on the rolling road.

Just had a great weekend with ours at Prescott Revival. An invited clubs meeting by the Marcos Club & TIPEC were one of the invited clubs. Great drive up from Kent, a lot of it across country rather than motorways with our chairman in his 911 C4S Cab, proved that in the dry the lower weight of the Boxster matched the BHP of the 911. Party Sat night with lashings of food.
Then today we were able to run on the hill for £20 for two runs. This morning at Prescott started very very wet but by midday the rain had stopped & quite a few of us signed on for a run up the hill.
Did two runs in the Boxster & decided that was probably the lot as I was gaining in confidence each run & it would have ended in tears. Caused a bit of wear on the rear tyres & really enjoyed myself. Scared the Missus witless as well biggrin
Have always wanted to go hillclimbing as a competitor & this has reawakened this urge. Over the years I've built & not completed for one reason or another 3 cars.
A couple of pics from Prescott today, as always the rest are on http://www.pbase.com/tr7v8

This Stratos was lovely cloud9

Thanks for the info I've read varying reports some say that it's not really a problem and some say budget for it I assume there will be a repair kit as I would carry out all work myself was there no a recall.

Hope I'm not hijacking the thread

Found it for you. Bypass pipes though not decat. Autofarm can do the LN Engineering IMS for you. Might as well get a 3.7 conversion at the same time :-)

Cheers smile and good idea, but 2.5 to 3.7 is a long way a nd a big bill, probably more than I paid for the car ... lol

Smart top. It allows one touch roof operation, roof on the go at up to 30 mph. Quite handy actually.

Hopefully cost neutral as I can sell it on for the same sort of 2nd hand price if I ever sell the car. This unit is already 2nd 2nd hand.

I never thought I needed to reverse park and do the roof at the same time. It also times perfectly for the Boxster chop. Set it in motion, get out and chop, start engine and do up seat belt and as you select first the roof is done :-)

If you turn ignition but don't fire engine whilst doing roof, you nearly always do a throttle body reset.

I happened to have the engine cover off and it goes through the reset after circa 35 to 45 secs.
