Can't think that the technicalities of CDR+ have been changed but DAB was definitely part of its spec a while ago. Really don't want to have to go down the route of PCM to get digital radio.
I presume CD-R+ is the same as new spyder which quotes dab and so does other countries gt4s which both also quote 235w output and not 185w outputstewy49 said:

Yup my query was..... CDR+ was showing DAB included when I submitted my spec but now removed from the description. Still showing as DAB included on the standard Cayman CDR+ option and can they confirm 100% with the factory that DAB still included in CDR+ if I have it on my GT4.

I did a track day on my bike today at silverstone and at the end of the day i thought i would see if i could get over to pec for a sneaky look at the GT4. When i get there the woman on the counter confirms none in the atrium for me to ogle but there is one out on track. So i sit there for an eternity waiting for it to come in but no chance. Looked and sounded great out on track with the chap in question giving it some welly, tyre squeal aplenty. Lo and behold when i look round the car park there is a peridot cayman r with pagid yellows on it so i can only conclude it was the legend that it is mrdemon out in the GT4. There was some very nice kit in the car park including an RS4.0 and and then quite bizarrely someone rolled up with a porsche diesel tractor on a trailer, and i mean an actual tractor not a panamera. I asked if there was any chance of booking up the GT4 and they told me not till 2016…! Look forward to hear the report from mrd.
yep was me :-) (although I am NOT MRDEMON NOW some one has cloned me) , st I was sweating today in that car (NO AC), put in some final hard fast laps and when it rained tried the low grip in the wet, not a chance of holding that in the wet, but did a few circles in the dry ok. lack of talent came to bite me in the arse on the low grip area in the wet ;-) I thought it would be easier in the wet !cars set up to understeer when pushed as well, did my head in, bloody hate understeer, I can see why people have put the rear ARB to stiff, this was on soft !
2.5hours driving time in it today for me, it's a solid motor alright.
Cannot say I am 100% happy with it though, was expecting more. A LOT more ! some things it did very well, some less so imo.

I'd expect it to be awesome! I'm intrigued by why PorscheGT4 isn't absolutely over the moon with the thing?
I liked it, but the gearing is stupid, the clutch was like treading concrete, the brakes had no bite, (prob all the PH glazing the pads :-p, I hope I gave them enough st to get them back a bit) lol and it under steered so you had to drive it like a 911, A big reason I buy Caymans is so I don't have to drive them like 911's !!Brakes will be ok I have gone steels and will put in 29's if they lack any thing, Put rear ARB to stiff and suck up the gearing. NO idea why the PEC car lacks the bite of my own PCCB set up, maybe the much bigger wheel/tyre weight combo to try and stop rotating + the extra 150kgs it has in total ! or glazed pads !! any way it did not stop like my Spyder stops !!!
Steering was better than I expected but lacks the R feel.
I also expected it to be a bit faster. be interesting to drag it vs my lighter Spyder as it feels no faster, in fact slower in the mid range, a Vbox afternoon will show up real speeds not bum speed though.
the G's were huge, the change of directing was amazing, it def felt GT over a 981 for sure and a very solid car you could just abuse all day long.
for a track car it will walk all over the R, as a road car it's a tough call, I'll have to wait till mine arrives in a few weeks ;-) but out the box it all feels a bit 911 and a few reasons why I sold my GT3 might be why mine will not be a keeper long term. But I have been wanting a change from Pork for a while, just the timing has not been right. Fancy a MP12 really and that will make a nice partner to my Spyder.
ALso the 245/295 Cups could well be over tyre for road use. It's going to be a track weapon, but then you might say a 997.2 GT3 would be a better choice, more BHp and that engine, thing is they are now £120k ! which is daft, was a nice car at £85k so the GT4 at £75k optioned up has no competition at all in any market.
So again depends what people want, people poo pooed the R for not being a track car but that made it an amazing road car and the great following it has now, the GT4 IS a track car which might have road issues, time will tell , no one has driven it on UK roads yet.
This is all imho, and NOT FACT so no stupid spamming, they are just my views. I don't want any stupid quoting !!!!

MrD, MrD, you bring it on yourself! EFA! ……...I don't want any stupid quoting !!!!
Thanks for sharing your views ... I find them particularly interesting since although I am buying a GT4 I opted to use my PEC to try a 991 GT3 RS ...
I can't wait for the GT4 to arrive sometime after the middle of September ... then I'll be able to decide for myself.
So far, for me on the kick plate the Cayman is a much finer car than any 911 ... which is why I adore the Cayman.
I include in this every GT3RS and the GT2RS. Yet to try the 991 variants ...
