You can read whatever you want mate. We (as in our dealership) did not charge over MSRP on any new vehicle except RS cars and specials. Some Porsche dealerships may have, many dealerships of all types did - $10k over on Kia Telluride, $10k over on a Ford Bronco etc.. but we chose not to. We don't sell new sports cars out of state either.
when you said we i assumed you meant usa dealers

I doubt an OPC is selling a car with something they know is wrong with it.
Are there any issues buying from Isle of Man and bringing back to England that anyone knows of? Would the car be treated as a UK car?

No real issues with buying from or selling to the Isle of Man car and it is a fairly straightforward process. I do it quite a lot both ways. However it is important to be accurate and precise with all the paperwork, there are quite a few traps for the unwary both at the DVLA end and the IoM end. The IoM OPC, Jacksons, should be able to deal with it no problem.

Someone said that new car UK reg fee would apply to a pre reg IOM car?
Don’t know if this is correct as technically its not a new car.

As long as the car has been registered for a few months and / or got a few thousand miles on it no new car tax applies.
As far as I am aware there are no actual numbers written down for the length of time or the miles as it’s done on an individual case by case basis. The numbers often quoted are registered for min 6 months or a min of 4000 miles. Although I have personally registered cars supplied in the IoM in the UK within both of these figures with no issues.
It’s to stop mass registration of cars over here where there is no additional new car tax and then reregistering them in the UK to save the tax. The RFL that is due on U.K. registration of an IoM car is the normal road tax that is due annually.
Any issues feel free to PM me I have done it many times.

Now there's an offer !

The first registration charge and subsequent five years RFL supplement is quite a saving !!

I assume the car is still a C16 spec car ??

Thats only half the story though - how much did you give the dealer for your new car and which model is it?
RRS in as px and took delivery of a new RR HSE at less than list price.
Still not the full story- which options did you pay for?

I was unaware of that as well. Off to look at what else they have in stock.

Do they have a Mercedes and Land Rover dealer on the IOM as well?

Porsche UK sales down 34% in Jan YoY, against a market up by 8% overall, I'm sure there are some decent deals to be done on stock they are carrying.

Apparently not, I made an offer recently and was told by the opc, sorry side we don’t need to discount our cars to sell them. The price is the price!

Oddly looking at this dealers website I’ve never seen them with so many new and pre registered cars for advertised for sale. I can only assume the are smashing their normal new allocations and porsche are giving them additional allocations to shift !

You should have directed him to this thread as he obviously had got it all wrong and will probably offer you 10k off after an evenings reading.

Where did you pull this figure of 34% drop in porsche sales from?
