Looked at a late 2001 TurboS coupe yesterday which would have been the best part of £200k with only 6k miles at £148k and it’s been stuck to the showroom floor for months.
Hope you mean late 2021 ???
Oops.

The price differential between a 2021 Turbo S with that sort of mileage and a 2023 GT3 Touring with c1K miles makes no sense to me.

March will be the interesting month when the SMMT data comes out. Whatever OPC’s say about being able to take their time selling the huge new car inventory they’ve got quarterly volume targets to meet….and those Taycan’s need to be shifted before the new one arrives making them look as out of date as an iPhone 5.

was offered a build slot on 992 for may, yesterday so production will going on until at least may/june.
Were you enquiring about one or was it just out of the blue as you have bought from porsche before and they have your details?

i had deposits on 3 cars with a dealer from nov 21. i got fed up of waiting around for allocations and the bull about supply chain issues so got deposit back in jan 23. have had randon call and email from them since, offering build slots for various 992 and macan models, with the latest offer the other day. i said i'd take one but i want 30%off to get them off my back lol

I think it's a UK problem. And, while the UK is is a significant market it's one market.

Porsche sales in the US increased by 7.6% in 2023 from what was already a record (all North America was up by 10%).

Germany was up 10%.

Rest of the EU up 12%.

Emerging markets up 16%

In the US we could have sold many more sports cars if we could have got them and I believe most if not all dealers have back orders for all 911's and 718 GTS's. There is no sign of demand easing and at our store we continue to sell all sports cars at MSRP. As I have said before I am staggered that the UK has excess inventory when we are desperate for cars!
What Apr are Porsche USA using?
7.99%, which is in line with most other lenders. A good chunk of my 911 customers pay cash.
Some dealers now reporting 7.74%. Did Porsche/VW drop their rate?

Taycans down by 15 cars ... and less than three weeks to the quarter end ...

Thanks for taking the trouble to continue with this info' ... with new models coming and SOR + approved cars it must still be quite a challenge for the OPC's in general.

At what point may sufficient interest rates reduction / manufacturer support be in place to ease sales volumes ?

What are yall's experiences dealing with OPCs in terms of making a deal? It seems like OPCs are open to deals, but Im not sure how one goes about it. Would love to hear some real past examples of deals with OPCs.

Out of pure curiosity, what do you mean?!?

As a private purchaser, a PCP is a PCP, it's made up of a GFV, an APR and a screen price. GFV isn't in your control, it's set by the underwriter, and generally is highest from Porsche and lower from external lenders. GFV's are very low on all Taycans, regardless. APR is going to be 9.9% from Porsche and maybe 1-2% less from another lender (but the GFV will be lower from the other lender to counter that), so that leaves you with screen price. Once you have your lowest price possible on screen, that's pretty much all you have in your control.

Don’t think this thread is about actually securing a car from what I’ve read, it’s more about how many cars Porsche have in stock.

As far as doing a deal goes, it’s quite easy, just walk in, be nice, discuss the car your interested in and give them a max price your prepared to pay, if it’s a no then move on and wait for the next one that takes your fancy.
