I think all the Taycan’s are pre-registered sat in a field somewhere and now probably “owned” by Porsche GB. 20% plus of sales this year have to be EV’s or it is a £15k fine per car…they don’t really have a choice but to register cars.
seems to be the way forward for a number of manufacturers atm. i was told jaguar have loads of ipace sat around atm and are selling at more that 15k loss on what it cost them to build to move them.CanAm said:
At my local OPC (Mid-Sussex) over half of their new stock is Jet Black Metallic (with black wheels) the balance being monochrome apart from just one car in Gentian Blue. Boring or what?
you can filter the listed new car stock on interior colour, and they're 80% dull, dull, resale dull Sidsw said:
macan stock seem to be growing as well. not sure why they arent sending german stock to usa. according to unrepentant they are crying out for them. if they are having issues with customs there perhaps they can stick a south american in them to get them through customs, as apparently they arent having a problem getting in to us.
There was some problem in the US - cars were being delayed at port as they had a Belarussian (I think) module which broke trade embargos. Suppose it could be that12TS said:

I’m honestly not surprised sales are down. I’m a serial browser (997GTS man not going anywhere!), but if you were going to drop £125k on 992 GTS there’s a whole host of pretty exotic lightly used stuff in range, and plenty of Astons, McLarens, Ferraris and Bentleys and others for not much more than half that, and with less built in depreciation. Suspect many who are not serial Pork buyers are just not seeing value any more relative to the competition.
Agreed, same price as approved used McL 720s and 992 Turbo/S which are all on different planets performance-wiserawenghey said:
The 992 jumped so much in price that it feels like a very high end sports car but at a supercar price. If you had £125k burning a hole in your pocket for a toy, a 992 of any variety is an incredibly conservative way to spend it.
The 992 has indeed jumped in price - when I started dreaming of a new 911 a few years ago I thought it might cost £100k, it wound up costing £119k for a very lightly specced Carrera S. The thing is EVERYTHING has jumped up significantly. Remember when you could buy a new McLaren for £140k? Or a Vantage for £120k? These days it’s £82k for an M3!!!G-996 said:

Can I be slightly disingenuous and creative?A new E46 M3 was around £40k in 2001. That's around £75k today. Still short of your £82k.
But the current M3 is slightly older M5 size and power. And the spec is somewhat different to the poverty spec base E46.
If you want a fairer comparison then look at the M2 (which is still bigger, more powerful albeit heavier than the E46).
That will be far less than £75k and have a comparatively much better spec. In conclusion M3 size M cars have actually got cheaper.

Funny you should say that. A new 992 GTS I had my eye on has jumped from £137k yesterday to £141,900 today. Had a meaningful chat with OPC yesterday. There are modest deals to be had on advertised prices of 992 GTS (including those already discounted) but with the 992.2 not due until the end of the year, there's currently no appetite to push stock out of the door at any price.
Personally, I think that will have to change at some point, let's see.

I've not driven it so can't confirm.
