Mmm sorry don't know the difference, definitely red thoughSo been to spec the car today here goes

Dimming mirrors, rain sensor
Light design package
Full buckets

Now my only query is the PDLS, lighting do I need this?

I have them and would recommend, as well as turning etc, they are more powerful 35W vs 25W from memory. Can't have enough light at night IMO.Xenons standard yes, so is PDLS where the lights turn is that it for £477 quid
Add online services too, don't know what it does but it's FOC.

I wouldn't bother with PDLS, the standard xenons are great and I've driven my car plenty of times at night. I had xenons in my Cayman R and I would say the 'low powered' GT4 xenons are just as good.Xenons standard yes, so is PDLS where the lights turn is that it for £477 quid

Thanks for all the replies guys
Il be glad when it's locked in, even gladder when it turns up !,,,
Still not sure on PDLS, I do live out in the sticks and I am on the wrong side of 40 !!
In the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal I know but it's easy to let it run away, I originally got it to early 70s now I'm over 75 k
Hopefully I will be keeping for a looooong time tho
Cheers

PDLS are are s
t on low beam after just driving in the dark for the first time - borderline shocking so standard should be really crap on dipped.
Fine on high but on dipped compared to the family Golf R they aren't brilliant.
I was over the legal limit (by a few mph) so I can't imagine the range adjusting out much more.
So I would def go PDLS is standard are 10w lower

I did'nt spec PDLS because i hated the look of the washer nipples and the spray over the bonnet when i least expect it and have no regrets. The standard lights have superb broad illumination and i spend virtually all my driving on unlit backroads .I have PDLS on my cayenne and can't see much difference to my GT4 and i'm 50yrs old.Il be glad when it's locked in, even gladder when it turns up !,,,

Good to know thanks for this info. I specced PDLS so this is a bonus.
Previously I honed my technique to manually change the beam throw on my Boxster Spyder whilst travelling the 30mins on Eurotunnel. Without fail there would be a lot of piss taking as everyone else just presses a button or something.

Another great feature of pdls i noticed in the handbook is when you take abroad the lights can be changed over to lhd by the obc so no fiddling with a screwdriver/spanner

It would be nice if you could place an order directly with the factory then go pick it up, shameful tactics by dealers and their mates, didn't someone recently take an OPC to court about them selling on his allocated car, he won his case if I remember.
Just a thought...a long while back you could jump over the channel and order a UK spec car from a dealer much cheaper than here...grey imports.
