Don't know, something to do with having a hangover from celebrating my mother's birthday last night. The list did look incomplete. There were also a number of yellow GT3s being driven so I wasn't sure which one belonged to peterpeter.

Daz,

I was there yesterday in one of the 3x Yellow GT3's
(common eh ?) Had a great day though, it was my 2nd trackday since having the car 2x weeks ago, and really started to get to know it yesterday by the afternoon.

There were some very quick cars there yesterday, including a few turbos with the X50 me thinks, as there was a noticable difference in speed between them and the standard ones down the long straight.

I now have to spend the rest of the week scrubbing bugs a scorched rubber marks off of my bumper !!!

Oh yes, those GT2's looked fantastic didn't they !!!

Er, and DeR had an "off" right at the end.

Tyres were flirted with.

Not too much damage (thanks to some stirling cleaning effort at my place).

Dunno if Simon has posted today, but the car is going to his usual mechanic for fixing.

Glenn. I know Martin's silver turbo with the aerokit has the X50 pack on it. He doesn't post on here very often but a few of us know him from the early VMAX Bruntingthorpe runs.

BTW, Yellow will always be THE colour for GT3's. (With red Harnesses of course)

Nice couple of hours spent at the track. Very annoyed everywhere around the track was lockedup/off limits making spectating quite boring on the pit straight and that was it. Good to see a few of the regular crowd.

Erm! complete circuit was open for spectators. I walked around the whole track, took photos at Vale/Club, Bridge etc. etc. I wish that I had taken my push bike, but it only takes 10/15 mins to walk to Stowe. The only off limit was the grass heliport in the centre, still marked out as operational.

Others drove their cars around the outer roads perimeter roads and parked on the banking, e.g. Abbey, Club, and no, these cars wernt official spotters.

Also watched the action on the inner track.

Glad to hear it went well, and sorry to hear of the beetle's bruises, as long as no one was hurt is the main thing.

Best Regards

Martyn.

Daz, it was open. I walked through the centre from the pits, along Maggots/Hangar watched vans using the inner circuit, (name escapes me at present), walked along the inside of Hangar, Stowe, Vale, Club, up to Abbey, cut back through where the caravans are parked, back across the international track, to the pits.

Excellent weather, much better than last year (which is not difficult) Shame I somehow missed Daz, but I did bump into the rest of the Pistonhead pack.

I specifically went looking for your yellow GT3 Glenn (I counted 3 of 'em) but you must have always been lapping - so well done

Best bit of the day for me was the last hour when a few people had left early and I managed to get a few sessions in myself for a small renumeration to club funds.

Worst bit was having to fit new brake pads when I got home last night (before Mrs Diver spotted the warning light ) and then order new rear tyres today before next weeks Diver family holiday

Mind you being only T shirt clad lizard- for the covered arms rule I was wearing a borrowed jacket, property of a certain renowned Badger hunter of this parish, maybe it does have powers that attract wearers to the badgers lair........

Alex was the passenger when a very rapid PHer headed for the sandpit. No real damage, car perfectly drivable, just needs to get all the stones out and lick of paint. Passenger side alloys need a bit of TLC cosmetically.

After the incident the car looked like it had completed the PAris-Dakar absolutely covered in dust from the bunker!

Nor me.

In fact we lied - no accidents occured. At all.

We all had a lovely time, I drank too much Lucozade Sport and have had really, really yellow piss since.

The last two bits are true.
