well bullet points have become paragraphs but yes detail missing incl original factory colour
yes heard about posts on 911uk very worrying *IF* said claim about the car held truth
all info disappeared..... why.... all just bizarre
The post on 911UK was removed by the mods as it was totally without substance and from somebody who had previously made the same spurious claim about other cars. There is no truth whatsoever to it and I'm sure Tom would be happy to submit the car to any check or PPi to prove it. yes heard about posts on 911uk very worrying *IF* said claim about the car held truth

As to the max power claims, I don't see it. Put some CUP 1 wheels on the car and it would look very much like an RS. The wheels may not be to your taste but they are pretty highly prized in Porsche circles and hard to get hold of. In any case Tom is happy to sell the car without them.

agree struggle to see it alsothe look is trying for the Porsche Motorsport image given the long time racing association with BBS
many Porsche racers.....935 Kremer.....964 Supercup....... all ran this wheel style
wheels defo not max power

Really, really not my cup of tea - and I really, really like aircooled pork.
And I still think 55k for 130k miles is simply laughable.

£55k doesn't buy you a well specced base 981 Boxster nowadays. I know which I'd rather have lol. In fact I voted with my feet and have a 964...amazing car.

Singer take old shed 964s with starship mileage - charge customers £350-400k and people coo about them (quite rightly so by the way) but if another person restores a 964 to their own bespoke spec they start cribbing about a £55k price tag.
Ask Rob singer whats more difficult, building a super car or building a super brand. I know what he'll say because I've heard him say it. I referred to this on the deleted thread. Tom can clearly build a well put together car but is having difficulty convincing people he's "THE MAN", this is an issues most business's come up against and the only solutions is through spending a fortune on marketing and branding. Stitching your name onto carpet or painting it onto callipers is the wrong way to do it.

I see the other thread was deleted? What happened?
Well I got halfway through reading the other thread when it was pulled. In short some dude advertised his purple 964 C2 for £105K, got told he was a dreamer and then claimed it was all just a wind up. Very strange.Poorsh said:

I don't know Tom at LeMass, but my take is he has a successful paintshop (sorry if that's not the best way of describing it Tom) and being a 964 nut decided to build his own modified 964 for which he did the paint.
The fact it had LeMass branded rear RS carpet, instruments and brake calipers was more about a 'promotional vehicle' for the business or himself (apart from demonstrating an attention to detail). These elements obviously hold little appeal to anyone else (which I think most will understand). I didn't get the impression Tom was trying to become a builder of bespoke 911's, more establish himself as the 'go to person' for painting 964's (or other Porsche).
I could be wide of the mark, but i'm sure Tom can clarify.

And by the same token, those personalised elements could easily be changed to any prospective purchasers requirements : Brake calipers (replace with Porsche logo), rear carpet (fit a plain black item or one with a Carrera logo) and the dials (put back to standard or maybe Rubystone for the more adventurous......) can't see that lot costing more than £1k.
Sorry guys my comments are not about the stitched logo but rather how to create value for a company through branding, I think is the main issue here. I repeat the reason why Singer can ask $400k for he's cars in not because of he's ability to build nice cars but rather his ability to create an international band. Adding your company name (stitched or painted) to someone else's work is not branding.
LeMass would be able to demand £50k-£100k-£150k……if they had the right public perception, which you can only get through branding and marketing. My professional opinion (worked in branding for over 25 years).
The best thing that ever happened to Magus Walking was Urban Outlaw film. At the time Magnus was not aware or appreciated the impact of making that film but the film maker (advertising and brand expert) knew exactly what was about to happen to Magnus.

Don't forget that you need to have the best product too. You can brand and market a turd as much as you like, but it's still a turd (not aimed at either Singer or the other bloke, just a general comment).uktrailmonster said:

That stitching along the top of the door is all wonky
with posts like that you face the wrath of L90 clique members..........be warned So now reduced to £47k and riding on Cup 2 17" alloys with BBS gold centres, as the 18" BBS in the photos have been sold.
Seems like the previous 964 statement (below) is now being tested as this car is having to be asset stripped (originally it appeared to have buckets - which weren't offered for sale and now the BBS have gone) to reach a price point the seller can let it go at. The final line was actually the most correct.
"As such tasteful modifications are widely recognised as valuable by the 964 market. Often the most expensive 964s out there are either the rare, low mileage or highly modified examples. There are very few cars, let alone 911s that increase in value with modification."
Sure it'll sell at circa £42-45k to someone who wants a Rubystone Red 964.
