Top thread.... thanks for the laugh Ravi! biggrin

Top tip for you: park the Porsche under an office where the windows are getting washed - you car will be covered in FREE soapy water! Then leave it outside until it rains, drive to a building site where they're digging. Chances are the builders will cover the Porker in free clay by the time to collect her biggrin

Apparently blu tack works just as well. Perhaps you could snaffle some from work or get the kids to steal some from school.

Very true, I use it all the time in my Turbo.

In the theme of the thread though - has anyone got some spare cans of Tesco99 unleaded that they could bring round to my house and put in the tank of my Porsche? The last load I paid for just seemed to dissapear after a couple of hundred miles of driving!

Tesco 99 is indeed fine fuel ... in the theme of the thread though - has anyone got some spare porkers they could send 'round to my house and leave for me to drive? I only have a (lowly) 944, and would quite like to try something a bit smarter, but can't be ar*ed to go and buy one ... I quite like the looks of those 993's, but if it has to be a 996 I have heard that the GT3's are the ones to go for!

I'm so touched thanks. Glad to see that some of my Porsche brethren are still human (or should that be humane).

If it's any consolation I have tried on two distinct occasions to get some but have failed. I tried to steal some plasticine from my neighbours' kids but the dog got wind of my plan and piss£d on my nearside front tyre.

If anyone is interested I gave my car a little too much right foot coming off a side road onto the A23 and left some black marks on the road. They are proper N rated Michelins so if you popped down there with a pallette knife you may be able to recover some rubber and stick it onto your wheels.

Just a thought....

I've been doing some decorating recently and wondered if the cellulose filler dust, added to the congealing slivers of soap at the bottom of the soap dish, might make a sort of "Blue Peter" sticky back plastic and corn flake packet model of the Eiffel Tower equivalent to a really good clay bar?
