I'm sure you'll be just as happy with the same steels on the GT4. I've only used my car on the road but the pedal bites right from the top with superb feel, progression and power and no squeal. I haven't tried PCCB but can't imagine how they could be any better except for their lower weight. They don't rust after a wash nearly as much as the ones on my 996.1 GT3 did either (and the GT4's are in a different league for performance).
The 991 GT3 'manuel' warns of brake squeal being normal and in fact my steels have done so from day one....be interesting to learn what the GT4 'manuel' says although if the brakes are identical GT3 some squeal is inevitable.....I wonder how much additional inertia there is in a steel brakes wheel spinning at 120mph compared to a PCCB braked wheel ?
First brake the inertia, then brake the car ....
And I wonder how much less likely the tyre of the steel braked wheel is to be following a slightly uneven road surface at that speed ?
To mention nothing of the rate of cooling once hot ... since the rate of cooling is proportional to the third or fourth power of the temperature difference ... and the PCCB's are designed to run much hotter ...
I really hope that with these brakes being so large, that they will last out multiple owners of this car ...
We shall see, but I believe that only Porsche really know !!

Agreed. The best place for pics shouldn't be the flippers thread..!
I'd like to know if any of the cars have arrived with the Dunlop tyres.
Also whether anyone who specified the normal (ie not black) wing supports has ended up with the black ones.
I've personally seen two cars delivered in the past week - both on Michelins I'd like to know if any of the cars have arrived with the Dunlop tyres.

My car arrives at dealer tomorrow. Guards Red.
Any views on the OPC autoglym paint treatment and tyre insurance
My advice - don't let them autogylm it / paint prep it in any way if you are sensitive about these things. My dealer may as well have taken a scour pad to the car as the first time i had it under artificial light I could see swirls everywhere. Cost me £650 to rectify the bodge job. If you want the car prepped properly, use a professional detailer. It will cost around the same as the OPC autoglym but will be 100000% better in my experience.Any views on the OPC autoglym paint treatment and tyre insurance
