Gap being offered, best price, cant go any lower, 3 years for £549.
worth it? Who underwrites Porsche Gap?
Not worth it I'd suggest. Don't be taken in by the salesman's 'We never sold one without Gap'. The risk of severe enough accident in the cover period is minimal. There must be big margin in it for the stealers, and targets for the salesmen to meet. You don't see companies protecting their fleets with Gap.worth it? Who underwrites Porsche Gap?

I cant see me getting it from Porsche...
All collected!
Pleasantly surprised at a full tank! I had to dash off to a meeting, so not driven it yet! My wife is delighted with it. I am getting some work done and will be popping out shortly! please excuse the pathetic pictures my camera takes! Will take better ones on Monday once it is all waxed up!

Has anybody ordered any other colours?
When I originally ordered mine (but subsequently pulled out) I was going to go dark blue metallic with the 2-tone Umbar/Cream interior.
It seems I would have been very much in the minority by not going black!
We all have secret desires to be undertakers! When I originally ordered mine (but subsequently pulled out) I was going to go dark blue metallic with the 2-tone Umbar/Cream interior.

I know it's boring but, for me, it's the only colour that works from a relatively narrow colour range. I wish there had been more choice.
I found the colour choice pretty dull TBH. I resent paying money for metalic - it costs f*ck all more than non metalic, certainly not 600 quid or whatever it is.
The blue just a bit nothing - if it had been a deep Blue (Lapis?) that might have been worth spending some money on.
Likewise the interiors - a cream with black carpets possibly, but the brown dash is awful. Porsche serioulsy need to rethink their interior colour options, or are they just pushing people to more expensive bespoke interiors?
Back to our car - just been out for a spin. I also let a friend drive it who shall we say isnt exactly a fan of the black stuff, and has a gen 1 Cayenne Turbo with a fantastic Tubi on... He was amazed by the pace of the modest v6 diesel.
I'm really chuffed with a few things we did (and didnt) do.
First off the wheels. Of course 20" wheels look beefier, but the ride on the 18's is LOVELY. Without stumping up for Air, I think the ride on 20"s would be too much.
I was worried about not stumping for Bose, but the standard audio is excellent - plenty of scope for getting a decent sound, and not short on bass and mid range.
I love the option of having maps in the dial next to the rev counter. Phone and Ipod connectivity is excellent. Not sure about touch screen and my screen fingerprint OCD though!
Stop start works well - just like the Beemer.
Pace and handling are superb - nothing touches it in the sector IMHO.
Despite pottering about and having a play, its on 35mpg, and 40mpg on a run shouldnt be too hard.

Saj, I think you have good reason to approach Porsche and see if they would be interested in having your patented cloaking device as an option on the configurator.
