Thanks for kind comments. I was apprehensive white might not pop enough after seeing online pics, but all fears evaporated the second I saw the car. It's flat white & glad you like it! hi sandip - you dealing with Dan? I think I might have brought your GTS (which is being kept immaculate), I too now have a GT4 on order which im hoping will be turning viper/signal green. During my running in jolly to Bordeaux and back I noticed that the water Temp gauge would fluctuate very quickly from a steady 85C where it sat most of the time climbing to 115C then after a while dropping back down again. I was so worried I took a few pictures. When I got back I popped into the OPC and asked about it. I got the usual don't worry sir they all do that type of response IE we don't really know why it does it. Thanks to you the question is now much better resolved.
There is also a thermal management programme attached to the climate control according to my OEM which may switch between the two states.
It's quite scary how quickly it actually changes from one temp state to the other. A matter of seconds. The oil temp also fluctuates at the same time but quite a bit more slowly. Obviously engine durability is unaffected?
Theoretically the engine should make more power and torque at the lower temp, whilst the heater performance and warm up will be adversely affected! Or did someone mention that?

Had a very long conversation with a very popular Porsche independent retailer today on where they feel GT4 prices are heading. I appreciate most buy for the enjoyment of the car and anything else is a bonus, but they believe come spring/summer next year, the overs on the GT4 will remain around £85-92k depending on spec and are finding that many potential GT3 and GT3RS buyers are opting for a GT4 instead as better value for money, especially for use on the track. Asking about spec, they believe strong colours work best (as expected, GT cars tend to work well with flat bright colours) and the must have options are clubsport (for those that want to track the car), LWB's (for the same reason), and PCM/Phone for those also wanting to tour with the car. Anything else they believe is personal taste only. White is deemed the safest colour to resell, with red and yellow being popular too, though the buyer would definitely "want" that specific colour which might reduce potential buyers a little.
I know it is all down to personal opinion, and shouldn't matter at all to those buying to enjoy with no consideration for the future, but for those with their eye on both, hope it helps. Has it helped me? Not really, means spending potentially £5k more than I wanted to!

Don't trust anything dealers tell you!! So they reckon prices will drop £15 k by spring which will be the peak buying season. More like they are trying to tease a few more cars into their stock so they can make a thumping margin come spring. Price will to anything just depend what a few Indy dealers and OPC's decide. A sort of loose cartel. Seen it with classic Porsche. A certain London Indy BMW did it with rare BMW's. Teased out some rare M cars from private hands, cornered the market then jacked up the price. If you are concerned re future values yes spec maybe an issue but in the medium term will be at the margin. Out of interest what was their opinion of PCCB? All subjective of course, but they did acknowledge that it would be the key selling time, but equally said quite a few owners have held off on registering the cars until the new year so expect the number available in the spring to have an impact on prices to a degree. Bear in mind that they've sold for more than this already, it doesn't make sense for them to talk the price down unless they share the same view with those buyers willing to pay more now, for a first car, expecting they'll suffer less depreciation than if you opted for something else (like AMG's etc) in a similar price range.Elvorfin said:
