Flew from Dublin to Geneva to see the RS in the flesh today. Definetly Salmon Orange colour to my eye. Was not able to get an answer to any of the questions re PTS,etc already raised here. Though did say Euro production will stop in November having started in April.

I think Andreas said that the mesh between the front wheels and the vents could be removed when the car was on track

I'm fairly sure what was meant is that road legislation prevents you being able to contact the tyre from the wing, so the mesh is fitted underneath the grilles to prevent that happening. That at least is my understanding...

Yes you're correct, Andreas mentioned that the mesh had to be put in so that contact with the tyre through the vents on the front wing wouldn't be possible but he also mentions that the mesh can be removed for race track use.

My original reply was to the posters who thought that the rear side vents could be removed on track.

So rubber & stuff flying out through the vents on the front wings?

I was thinking that too even with the mesh in place but I'd like to think that it'll have been addressed during the testing phase.

I was also wondering about these front vents, especially driving on wet roads.

Not an issue, most will be stored in heated garages if values shoot up wink

Skittles?

from the article:
Finished in original shades of Blue Riviera, Speed Yellow, Fuchsia, and Green Mint, the bespoke arm of the German carmaker could also add a carbon-fiber body kit, as well as GT3 Cup rear windows, racing stripes and a new front grille. So, how would you take yours?

Is it only me,the car looks even more like a cayman on steriods.
It would be good to see a true clubsport on the market again, with no nanny bits.

I think you'll find that's called a Cup car or RSR Paul.
